Final OTA/Scrimmage Updates (6/19/14)

Man wtf Albert.

2 sacks already?

Come on man!!!!! Are you serious????

Is it training camp yet??? Pads are on???

Albert is playing next to Billy Turner today and NOT Dallas Thomas.. He is probably helping him during each play as well...

By the way, again thanks mnphinfan, this is extremely exciting, as close to a game as we will see until late July or early August.

and another ov sack on albert...so that makes 4 would be sacks...ha ha

Yeah that's a concern for sure. Either OV is going to have a 15+ sack season or Albert is going to give up a 15+ sack season.

The O-line is a mis-mash though...not all starters but not sure how much that plays into it. Wallace's drops are also a concern.

albert has given up as many sacks today as he did all 2013 season...vernons a solid rusher but he's not special...this is definitely concerning...james is getting his ass handed to him also by wake...they play like this in pads we in deep ****

well it's over...have a good vacation guys...you played like ****...see ya in a little over a month...well deserved brandon albert

I'm completely serious.

It's not like Dallas Thomas is light years ahead of Turner.

By the way, do you think you could add a little more punctuation?

and the protection STILL BLOWS...3 would be sacks from the $50 mil left tackle in like 20 plays of work...fml...i hope these guys are way better in pads...of course a lot of wakes and ovs game is hand strength and power to rip thru etc so i doubt pads will cure ails

jarvis landry BALLING...and the pads havent even come on yet...

story of the day is the freaking protection...new year new o same issues...that and a fg kicker that kills momentum missing 45 yarders straight on...

if it goes like this come regular season tannehill won't make it to the bye week...no qb needs less contact this year than tannehill does

Are we really doing this? REALLY?

You should be at least a little concerned about the o-line play. From all accounts they looked pretty bad out there today. Pressure came from both sides and up the middle. Sure the players don't have pads on yet, but there is still technique involved. Albert based on that alone should have had a better day. Either that or OV is going to break the single season sack record this year. I expected James to have problems with Wake. He's a top 5 pass rushing DE in the league.

I realize this is the starting point for judging on how the o-line is playing, not the end, and that they still have time to improve but no matter what, it's safe to say Turner and this o-line have a lot of work to do before the first preseason game.

Are we really doing this? REALLY?

yeah we are...really mike...

it's possible that ov is taking it to another level but even if thats the case i still shouldnt be seeing my $50 mil free agent tackle getting used like a wet nap every snap even in a non pad scrimmage setting...

let's hope pads and time are cures and it's not flat fall off...

The o-line play is concerning. I know its only June, but hoops is absolutely correct in his comments about the tackles. Scrimmage or not, Albert gave up like 4 sacks all of last year, and he gave that up today alone? C'mon. Scrimmage or not, that's BS. And having rooted for this team as long as I have, I almost expect it at this point... That even after everything they did to upgrade the o-line, it would STILL suck. That would be typical Dolphins.

the only guy out there media wise that i'd pay any real attention to is james walker and even he said "it's starting to look like last year" with all the sacks and the pressure on the qb...that said we got a month til they come back for real and in pads...when the tells really come

Gotta love OV's motor and technique.

Jalil Brown is a former 4th round pick of Chiefs. Good sized corner out of Colorado. It sounds like he has been flashing.

Aikens has been getting some looks at safety. I doubt he is active on game day this year but he has some tools.

Let's hope Tripp is learning at the mike. This is the time to get good experience. I don't think he played much inside in college. I want to say that he was more of a will but I could be off.

Juwan James getting a look at Wake is heck of an initation. Nothing sugar coated there. Hopefully he picks it up.

The one constant variable is Tannehill.

I will wait until the middle of the training camp before worrying about an All-Pro LT. Hopefully, RT's progression in the new offense is not too much of a learning curve.

Lets see how the offensive line looks in 6 weeks when the team can actually have contact. I wish teams were allowed one off season day in pads. I really think the CBA limiting the number of days a team can have in pads during training camp and eliminating off season days in pads has really impacted the league, resulting in more injuries, poor tackling and poor play in general.
