Weaver doesn’t have the horses on defense. He has very little to work with, why everyone think he should turn piss into wine?

No denying the lack of playmakers, particularly in terms of pass rush and secondary, but that doesn't explain the lack of effort, assignment confusion and poor fundamentals.

I'm not calling for a replacement. I think bringing in yet another DC would be counterproductive. Rome wasn't built in a day.

OTOH, there are areas that need focused attention and if we don't see decent improvement going forward a short leash is justified, IMO.

Just went lurking on the Texans board.

They are terrified.... not about us so much, but about their next two games.

They are fairly confident they will beat us but are aware that if they lose this week, their playoff hopes are very much up in the air.

They think their defense will be the difference, they expect to get some INTs and multiple sacks on Tua and they think this will be the difference. They had lots of praise for Tua, even going as far as basicly saying Tua is better than Stroud. (Which is true for this year)

They don't seem to know we usually turn into a pumpkin when playing against good teams so there is more anxiety over there than I was expecting. Most predictions have the Texans winning by 3 to 4 points.

Fins can actually win this game as I do not think Houston is all that good. Not that Fins are good either, but Houston is more bark than bite. Maybe I'm delusional, but I could see an upset here.

Yeah, I feel they aren't as good. Jets and the titans beat them. Barely won vs the Jags and Colts. That doesn't scream good team to me.

They are kind of like us, can't beat good teams.

I kinda hope they do keep Grier too, It'll be a relief to rid myself of this team once and for all.

You don't care about the teams success if you want to keep Grier. You'll never convince me otherwise, hes completely mis-managed this team for a decade. Hes deplorable and so is anyone else advocating for him to keep his job.

Just my opinion of course.
