FINAL SCORE: Dolphins V Ravens (week 2)

Man I’d love to go to this game. I have no feel for the outcome of this game so I am just going full fan boy mode.

Dolphins 24
Ravens 21

In OT

Pick me up and I'll go with you.

I agree though, hard to get a feel for this one. I'll take 22-10 like last year but prefer 35-7.

Actual score will be 31-24 Miami. Game won't be that close. 21-7 at half time. Ravens pull within a TD with 3 minutes to go, making us sweat it out but a big catch by Waddle will seal the deal.

Which would be incorrect.

Read @ChambersWI files in the 347.
You don't know that. But I do know the defense I saw yesterday wasn't the same aggressive defense that they played in the second half of last year. That is a fact!

Have you read his files?

Or you just want to argue after the first game with a new coach?

There is no argument to be made. The defense that was played yesterday wasn't the same attacking defense from the end of last season and if they keep playing the same style of defense from yesterday they will get exposed. Period!

Don't forget the absence of Byron. I know a lot of people here dismiss his impact, because he doesn't get half a dozen picks a year, but it's a lot easier to be aggressive on D when both Byron and X are out there.

Didn't he also miss the beginning of last season?

I believed he missed one game last season. It was the Bills game at home. I still want to see that aggressive style defense no matter who is out there though. I hate seeing a passive defense. Jaelan Phillips was a much better player when they went to that aggressive style. He doesn't belong in coverage.

Didn't read his thread then.

Got it.

Can Miami do it again? Last year's win against Baltimore was my favorite game of the season. Not just because the Ravens dominated the recent series, but the way the Dolphins won.

The all-out defensive design with players in Lamar Jackson's face on virtually every play will be hard to duplicate. That Miami absolutely shut down the Ravens was a thing of beauty to witness.

This is where being without Byron Jones could hurt. Have to have excellent coverage to make that pass rush work. I expect Boyer will be aggressive still, but pick his moments. It will be interesting to see what John Harbaugh cooks up offensively.

I think this is a game that goes down to the wire. I don't see the Dolphins having the same defensive success, but offensively Hill, Waddle and company could make up for some of that.

I believe it will come down to the health and play of Miami's offensive line. Can they give Tua enough time to find some deep targets? Miami receivers are consistently getting open!

In the end, I'm going with Baltimore 24-17. They are home, were embarrassed by Miami last year, etc.

But the Dolphins can win if they win the all important turnover battle and play relatively mistake free football.

After last years' game this doesn't seem as scary anymore, their RB's are not healthy and their receiving group is not as strong. I'd say Miami 24 Baltimore 10

Their starting left tackle and starting corner will be out so that makes the game closer.

I dont think they can majically figure out Boyers scheme but im sure as hell their gonna stay up nights this week thinking about what needs to be done.

No terrell Suggs the past two years has been very beneficial to us in the matchup.

I think we need Ez to be elevated to the 53 and get him involved in this offense, that dude presents attitude and tougness to the opposition..We have littel size and no player like him.

Their crowd is loud and smart..They all stand on defense to create the noise needed for miss communication.

Until I see Tua do what I think he needs to do to achieve his own personal ceiling, on the road, in a hostile enviornment, I cant see it happening.

But I can now say the same with Jackson vrs Boyer.

ughh, tough game.

maybe another overtime game.
