I know what you mean. For me, it's extremely frustrating watching a game. My brain is telling me that the team built by Grier and run by McDaniel is not a contender and never will be, so the best thing is for them to lose and keep losing until Ross cleans house, and hopefully the next regime will be competent!I would love nothing more than to be wrong... believe me.

However, when I'm watching the game, my heart can't help but root for them. I'll see a big run by Achane or a sack by Seiler, and I get excited. But, then I'll see something dumb, like one of McDaniel's signature "behind the line of scrimmage" throws on 3rd or 4th and short that results in negative yardage and/or turning the ball over, and I'm snapped back to reality. All of the stupid penalties, poor game management, bad execution, and head-scratching playcalls are no longer depressing; they're laughable. On the bright side, this means that as long as they still have Grier and McDaniel, the mistakes and losses will still be entertaining.
