The Dolphins will get the victory by two touchdowns.

I think that the only legitimate reasons to be afraid of this game are your fear that 'Dolphins gonna Dolphin' and the unfortunate reality that **** happens.

If you watch these two teams play football, you can see that Miami is more talented across the board -- particularly on defense -- and has much better play from the quarterback position.

Statistically, Miami is a much, much better football team than Jacksonville. Football Outsiders ranks Miami as the 10th best team in the NFL in total DVOA, while Jacksonville is ranked 31st. Jacksonville has the worst offense in the NFL by pretty much any metric you want to use, and it's really not even close. Jacksonville simply can't score points and turns the ball over a lot. Jacksonville's defense also wasn't very good for most of the season, though they did beat up on the Cleveland Browns this past week.

Jacksonville's big hope in this game is to get a lot of fumbles. As long as Jarvis Landry cleanly fields punts, and our skill players hang on to the football, we should be fine. Jacksonville has not been good at creating interceptions.

One final note on why I am confident Miami will win, the Jaguars played against Philadelphia in week one and gave up 34 points, despite the Eagles handing them multiple first half turnovers in what was a very sloppy performance. The Jags struggled to stop Philly's inside running game (an area where we are similar) and that was with their best run stuffing linebacker, who won't be playing for Jacksonville on Sunday.

Anything can happen on Sunday, but the truth is, Miami is just playing much better football than Jacksonville, is a more talented team, and should win this game by double digits.

i was going to post that Danny but just thinking about those numbers made me queasy :puke:

The crystal balls sez Mike Wallace has a big day plus a pick 6 by the D.

Our offense, defense, and ST are much bettter. Bortles will have a very long day. 2 Int's, 4 sacks, that's what I'm calling

We are the better team and should win this game. The jags are showing a lot of signs of improvement but unless Ryan just turns into a turnover machine we win this game going away. We lose this game and I'll be looking forward to next years draft with a bag over my head.

Having said that I will say there are some interesting stats I found:
- The jags have only committed 31 penalties in 7 games and we have committed 30 in 6 games which is 3rd in the league. They are first, so they don't make a lot of mental mistakes. A sign of a team that is well coached and turning things around.
- Our defense over the last 3 games have given up only 303 yards per game, while theirs have only given up 309 per game. That would put us both in the top 3 in the league if we had done that all year.
- The jags haven't given up over 17 points in over 3 weeks.
- The jags have registered a whopping 22 sacks already this year which ranks them 2nd in the league behind only the bills, which happens to be the other team that gave us fits. Their 31st ranked defense might not be playing as bad now as it was earlier in the year.
- The jags are -8 in turnovers while we are even for the year.

Just some tidbits I thought I would share. Take away the turnovers and this team is not as bad as some think. If their DL can pressure Ryan and shut down our running attack without blitzing we are going to have trouble moving the ball. This team is not as bad as it's offensive and defensive rankings might suggest. Their DTs are very good and have a chance to bully our interior OL. This will be a big test for our OL. This game will not be as easy as some think but I still think we win by two scores. Just know while you watch that if our OL is not looking as good as it did vs the bears it is more about who we are playing than the way we are playing.

Fins 24 Jags 13

Yes, like Wannyheimer posted, the Jags will try hard to strip the ball. It's our game to lose if we fail to hold on to the ball.

Miami 123,563,867,458,456,904
Jax -3

I think you are forgetting that Philbin will put in backups if we get any where near a 100 quadrillion points. No way Moore can put up the last 23 quadrillion. Besides wouldn't anything over 1.2 x 10 to the 17th power, be an NFL record??

As incredibly poorly as Cleveland played on Sunday, the reason the Jags won was that Cleveland turned the ball over inside their own ten yard line twice. One was a muffed punt and the other an interception.

My biggest fear is us playing down to our competition, which we tend to do. If we play them like they're the Packers it won't even be close.

Should be 30-9....but with conservative boy at the helm if we're up by 14 we won't even attempt to score.

So probably 21 -10

Dolphins - 69

Jags - Forfeit with 8:36 left in the second after Bortles gets his hip displaced.

Wow. I guess we haven't learnt anything. I believe we'll win but it'll be closer than people think. Their defense has been pretty good the last 3 weeks.
