Final score: Patriots vs dolphins

Let's put it this way, last year was a down year for the Patriots and they were a hair away from sweeping us and won the division easily. It was probably the worst roster they had from top to bottom in the post Super Bowl years, and it only got worse as the season progressed with all the injuries.

This year they are drastically improved. I believe the Dolphins have improved as well, but not nearly enough to close the gap. I will be very pleasantly surprised if they manage to pull off a victory in the season opener

Actually, we were closer to sweeping them, then they were us, but I guess continue in that type of thinking.

Really? Sorry, but a team that comes back from a multi-TD deficit at the half and comes back to make it not even close at the end deserves to win the game. The Dolphins came pretty close to choking away the second game as well if not for a great outing by Tannehill, Clay magic and a legendary performance from a Practice Squad player.

Would have impressed me more if they did all by themselves, but did not go that way, so...

Miami drops a 40 burger on the Pats in the opener forcing ESPN to mention the game. 42-20 Miami.

hopeful but realistic.

I cant see Miami getting the chocolates. I think Brady will pick our defence apart. i see a bit of a blow out at the end. 28-10. But i hope its not true.

I hope I'm wrong, but 30-24 Pats. Outside of 2001-02, we've only beaten Brady in the month of December. We are only 4-8 against the AFC East under Philbin & Tannehill. I see this game being similar to the 2011 opener, only we have more of a chance. There are a lot of similarities between the '11 Dolphins and the '14 Dolphins, coach on the hot seat, QB on the hot seat, New OC, opening against the Pats, etc.

If this happened ESPN would open sportscenter with "is the NE defense in trouble"?? Then they would go on to show all the offensive plays from the pats and end the piece by saying they were beaten by 22, leaving off who beat them.

What about 08?? We beat them up there in their house early in the season with the wildcat.

How do you figure that? They beat us by 10 and they were driving for a score inside our 20 at the end of the other game. If not for a pick by Thomas pick in the endzone we would have probably lost both games.

Miami in the 1st game was owning the Patriots in the 1st half, then thanks to calls so bad, even on Mike and Mike they had to agree the calls were very badly blown, calls that at the very least would have meant 14 points less for the Pats, and as much as a 21 points swing.

In the 2nd game, there were no calls on either side, which allowed Miami in the ned to either lose or win it on theit own merrit...call it luck, but a Miami Dolphins player mad the play to beat the Colts, and not a bunch of Refs making cals for the Patriots because they wanted to pay them back for blowing a call against them against the Jets.

Bad calls happen, I expect them, some will effect the game, I can live with that, but when there are a whle mess of shaky calls that are proven wrong, and are admited by experts the next day, I am not going to close my eyes and act as if the patriots actually did beat the Dolphins on talant and execution alone.

They each split two games, but on the field, but the truth is, the dolphins out played the Pats both games,as long as while watching both games, the eyes were open, this is obvious...end of story.

Pats are stacked this year, they're making a Super Bowl push. Wilfork is back expect him to wreck havoc . I don't think miami wins but il be cheering for dolphins.
