I think it's now safe to say that we FINALLY have found our replacement for Dan Marino. There will be another Marino, but his kid looks to be the real deal!
Remember that this is the first extended playing time he's gotten, since we had a healthy Penny last year. Don't get me wrong, Penny was the right man at the right place last year but Henne's time has come and it looks to me that he is the right man for the job. :lol2: :hump:   :chuckle::buds:

Amen, fellow Phinz fan :buds:

Henne is getting better every week. What I like about Henne is he seems composed out there. You don't see him yelling or screaming at his receivers or anyone else, and when he does make a bad throw it is usually not a forced throw into tight coverage. If Henne had some better receivers to throw to he would be deadly...hopefully Ginn can pick up his game. Bess, Camarillo and Hartline looked good.....and Fasano made some nice catches. I still think we need to add a #1 WR for next year and then Henne and the offense are going to be crazy good.

finally the coaching staff let the kid throw the ball... AND THE RECIEVERS HELD ON!!! hello chemistry!

The kid's going to have bad games and make mistakes, but that's part of the learning process. One of my beef's with the coaching staff is that I feel like they wait too long to try the young players when the veterans aren't getting it done. Rebounding after the Buffalo game was very encouraging IMHO.

We better trade Henne this offseason and give up whatever we have to for this other Marino!

:chuckle:

Henne looks solid at this point. Whether he will become a future pro bowler remains to be seen. He must improve his accuracy. That miss of a wide-open Polite was bad. Also, he has yet to show any tocuh on the deep ball, which was supposed to be one of his strengths. But he does look poised out there.

i was a henne supporter day 1, and will be whether he throws a 5 td game this week, or if he throws 5 ints. the guy overall looks ausum. i knew we had our qb once he had that comeback vs the jets on mnf, i was officialy sold.

since marino, we have had fiedler, freotte, huard, griese, lucas, rosenfels, culpepper, harrington, beck, lemon, pennington, green, feely and some of them i feel like were ok at best. i love penny what he did for us, but none of those i actually thought would be our qb for a prolonged amount of years.

henne is different. this guy is young, has a great arm, looks poised, and he just looks like the real deal. he is 6-3 as a starter so far, and has only rlly made one boneheaded play so far which was vs tampa bay on the 3rd and 7 which luckily didnt cost us the game but could have.

us fin fans should be excited about this guy, and for all of us who didnt get to see marino develop from the start, in 15 years from now, us young fin fans can say that i remember back then watching henne in his first start and the rest is history.

now im not saying he will be dan marino, but i feel he can be pretty damn good if given the talent around him.

Out of all the QBs taken in the last 2 drafts, at this point I can honestly say that with the possible exception of Flacco, and maybe Ryan, there's not another I'd rather have than Henne. And between Henne and the first 2 mentioned, it's still a toss up. With each passing week I'm ever more relieved that GB took Brohm instead of him.

just imagine when we give this kid some serious weapons. We are going to be a team to be wreckn' with!

This says it all right here great post!! Henne is the man and I knew it watching that MNF game too....its unreal to think about how amazing he can possibly be in 5 years if we can get some talent around him, because this kid has all the tools and you can see it if you watch the games. You just dont have 3 comebacks like that in your first year as a QB

I live here in TX and I fight with eveyone about that fact that if I was to start a team I would go with Henne over puss boy Romo any day!!!
