and this is why the finz should look at free agency for there first
lb find. this would allow us to not have depend on someone like
mcclain being there. we could go in BEST available player at another
position with the 12 spot.

GET ANQUAN BOLDIN. then in the draft, run that card to the podium
with GOLDEN TATES name on it giving us our big playmaking wr AND
kr in one pic! that would give us a 4 wr rotation of anquon, tate, bess
and heartline. and then the tri can decide which wr they keep as the
5th, camarillo or ginn or maybe turner makes it finally in camp.

i think ginn would have to be a part of ANY trade we would make in
the off season be it for lb or wr.

that gets us almost right where we need to be as far as this article
mentions. add a TE and we are INSTANT perenial contenders.

there is LOTS of good lb talent in this draft and we would have the rest
of it to fill lb spots, s, and a nt prospect.

That's not true at all... Why are the Jets in the playoffs? Good running game and great defense. Offense is helpful, but defense keeps you in games. Personally, I think a good running attack and a great defense is better than a great passing attack and a terrible running game and defense.. Just me though.

I really can't disagree more with this thread. Pass on Boldin, injured way too much for me and not fast enough. Possesion WR at best.

Boldin is an excellent reciever, but why target a guy who is often hurt and is nearly 30 years old? If we are going to get a reciever, get Dez Bryant, but don't go after a guy who is aproaching the downside of his career.

This is suggesting Miami follow a trend. Trends fade and change all the time. Passing the ball in the NFL is not new. Every Super Bowl legacy team could pass the ball - 49ers (Joe Montana), Dallas (Troy Aikman), Patriots (Tom Brady). It's not new.

Don't abandon the wildcat. Use it wisely and let Ronnie run it. Don't go overspend on another trend for Boldin. No way. And don't waste drat picks on WRs early. Build your team. Let them develop. Forget the trends. Good teams are made over time. Stop gambling!

I don't want a repeat of the Marino years. Let's get a consistent Dominate D first.
Rules always change, a good D will always serve you well.

Agree with the article.

Don't want to trade for Anquan (yes, too injury prone and too old now) and Tate at 1.12 would be crazy.

But we do need to shelve the wildcat and get some explosive players in this offense. We're 3-yards-and-a-cloud-of-dust with Ronnie/Ricky/Bess/Camarillo.

Our only "explosive" player is exploding his way out of bounds most plays and can't cant anyway (Ginn cough, cough).

Of course we need to fix out defense but explosive players is a must this offseason.

That's why I like Dez Bryant or CJ Spiller at 1.12 (especially if McClain is gone) and I even want to see us consider Darren Sproles as a RS and change of pace RB (especially if we can trade Ronnie this offseason).

We have a very good OL and a very promising QB. Now we need the weapons.

If the refs were calling pass interference then, the way they are now, we might've won 1 in those years.

And why can't we have both?

We're close - we just need some LB help, a NT, a FS and a WR1 or weapon1 RB.

The Saints have been building and building their team to get where they are now, we've only been building for two years.

RICKY: then why are the RAVENS out so early? these kind of teams that actually
win something in this day and age with the defense and run first menatailty are
an EXCEPTION, and a RARE exception, not the rule.

many teams who have been in the superbowl have had good defenses and run games. but MOST of those could throw the ball and score when needed.

and i didnt realize the jets had won the superbowl yet!

not calling you out, just stating facts.

RIGHT!! and we still need to be building. we need playmakers in the WORST
way. but you cant build extensively through the draft in the age of the cap
and free agency. expecially when you have committed to a 4 year turn around!
[with 2 remaining coming off a losing season]

the saints, yes, they had some draft pics work out [colston was a 7th round
choice. thats luck!] and when they saw PLAYMAKERS in free agency, they
went after them [brees, sharper, etc...].

we need to follow that plan. keep grabbing playmakers when they are available
in free agency AND the draft!

thats how you have to build in todays nfl.
