The name's Bond...James Bond.
So, what are the predictions on Finals MVP?
If Detroit wins, it almost has to be Billups. He's hit a ton of big shots, is leading the team in scoring, has an almost unheard-of 4.5 A/TO ratio, and has completely outplayed Tony Parker.
If San Antonio wins, it's a lot trickier, I think...
On the numbers, I suppose you go with Tim Duncan (who may yet have his Alpha Dog game tomorrow night, thus making the argument moot), but he nearly killed them in game 5, and was invisible in the 4th quarter last night, too. Still, when there's not a clear choice, 19.8 points, 14.7 rebounds and 2.17 blocks have a way of winning out.
Ginobili was phenomenal in the first two games, but has been ordinary after that.
Can we really give the award to a guy who had one big game, i.e. Big Shot Rob? I don't think so.
