Rolando McClain is off the board before we pick and we can’t find anyone to trade down with…
1. Dez Bryant WR OK State – with McClain gone and no possibility to trade down this pick makes the most sense for now. Chad Henne gets his best toy yet. Second choice at #12: RB CJ Spiller
2. Brandon Graham OLB Michigan – With Mike Nolan on board, he has all the potential to be this year’s version of Elvis Dumervil. Second choice at #43: OLB Sergio Kindle
3. Micah Johnson ILB Kentucky – this guy is all over the field, would easily be our best ILB for years to come. Second choice at #73: WR Dezmon Briscoe (only if we did not draft Bryant).
4. Major Wright FS Florida – Gibril Wilson is better suited for SS, Clemons is still a question mark, Major Wright is a good choice.Second choice at #107 ILB Jason Worilds (only if we did not draft Micah Johnson).
6a Taylor Price WR Ohio – Good size/speed ratio 6’1” 212 with speed 4.4 range.
6b. Jamar Wall CB Tex. Tech – very physical CB (I love physical DBs), will provide good depth and special teams play.
6c. Jeff Byers OG USC - He's a little small (some time in the weight room will change that), and DeGuglielmo can coach him up into a good lineman. Sparano and complany will have the chance to see him up close. Possible depth/future replacement at either guard positions.
7a. Arthur Moats OLB James Madison - Highly productive on the 1AA level.
7b. LeRoy Vann KR/PR Florida A&M - Some mocks have him going in the sixth round. He was a CB in college but at 5'8" 170lbs, he will only be a return specialist in the NFL. He returned 11 for TDs over the last two seasons (5 in 2009).
Big Free Agent Signings
1. Vince Wilfork or Casey Hampton
2. Tony Scheffler
Key Re-Signings
1. Ronnie Brown
2. Davone Bess
3. Lousaka Polite
4. Anthony Fasano
5. Nate Jones
6. Chad Pennington - only if he understands that he is competing for the starting spot (eventually he will end up as our veteran backup). If he does not like that, then we move forward with Tyler Thigpen as our #2.
