QB Ryan Tannehill, Texas A&M
Grade: A

Analysis: This was the consensus pick for Jeff Ireland, Joe Philbin and Stephen Ross. Tannehill was the highest quarterback ever taken from Texas A&M. He is also only the third quarterback the Miami Dolphins have EVER taken in the first round. The other two – Dan Marino and Bob Griese – leave a huge legacy behind.

While Tannehill isn’t the most experienced quarterback, he has shown the ability to command his offense. Running a similar offense in college, Tannehill will make an easy transition in terms of verbiage and learning the playbook.

Tannehill, a former starting receiver for Texas A&M, brings a superb athletic ability to Miami. Along with great athleticism, Tannehill has shown an ability to make accurate outside throws and anticipate routes before his receivers complete their route.
Miami needed a quarterback, and they got their guy. Great pick.

Wow...whoever he is he gave every pick an A or a B. That might be a little too optimistic. LOL!

I agree with him. With the exception of the DT, all of our picks warrant an A or B grade IMO.

It was not a perfect draft (what drafts are really?), but I don't think it's too optimistic. We filled every need we had and got some very good value on most of our picks. If, and hoping, when Tannehill turns into a solid to very good QB for us, it could very well be the draft that saves Ireland's hyde in Miami this season.

I like the review, but i personally don't think Kheeston Randall will make the roster. Thought he was our only not-so-great pick.

Way too homeristic for my liking. It was a draft full of boom or bust players. Nothing "A" about it.

Loved it

I loved the draft we just had, and i've made no secret about it, and if the poll on this page is any indication, the majority, nearly 90 percent of us liked it or loved it also. So I don't know, of the 10 percent who gave the draft a C or D, I'd say that you've got a much better chance of being a pessimist than a realist if you didn't like this draft.
