Finheaven is going to be so boring this week

Forget the stats - Henne bounced back and looked poised and confident. Preseason or not, he showed mental and physical toughness... I'll take it.

Last time I checked Carolina had the 1st overall pick in the NFL draft which gave them Cam Newton.

It's hardly a team to gain much confidence from.

They did good, but to gain the confidence of everybody they will have to accomplish much more than a 20-10 win over Carolina.

Except for the near pick 6 Henne threw, It was good to see him play well. I thought Reggie Bush was the biggest hit of the night.

The Dolphins looked so good tonight that there just might not be any ranting, whining, or bashing all week long. It's going to be strange.

 You really believe that?

Subjects you may see this week:

1. Why did Henne not pass for any TDs?

2. Murtha is garbage, we're doomed at RT.

3. Miami beat Carolina, don't get excited.

4. Why did Henne throw such horrble passes to Marshall?

5. Moore proved again he is better then Henne.

6. How did Carolina score 10 points on our 2nd and 3rd string D-players..we're doomed.

7. Bush is going to get hurt soon...we're doomed

8. Did you see N.E dominate another team in preseason....we're doomed.

9. Where is big Jake, I think he is really hurt.....we're doomed

10. Why did Miami score 2 FG and 2 TDs, they should have gotten at the very least 4 TDs, it's all Sparano and his FG loving coaches fault...we're doomed.

Here is just my two cents worth. Carolina is not what you would call a playoff team. Miami is clearly better than Carolina on both sides of the ball so a 20-10 win should not get us too overconfident, even though we probably should only have given up 3 points had we not fumbled it late in the game.

With that sad, Henne looked much better. He had time to throw and made mostly good throws. He still is a little inaccurate but lets also remember this is just game two of the preseason and guys haven't worked together that long. What I was happiest to see was the way Reggie Bush was running the ball. His speed and shiftiness should really open up our passing and running game. Reggie gives us a game breaker, and while I liked Ronnie and Ricky, you never felt they were going to break off an 80 yard TD run, in comparison to Reggie. Defenses always have to account for where Reggie is at.

Daniel Thomas will get better over time. He is still a rookie who has a lot to learn, but I think he is a good solid pick. Our defense played pretty well. Look at how many 3 and outs Carolina had. I think most of Carolina's yards/points came late against our scrubs. We are 2-0 guys, so things are looking up. We have to be fully prepared and ready for the Patriots in Week One, but we always seem to give Brady problems here at home, so I am looking forward to game #1 on MNF.

Ohhh one more thing....I think Reggie was wearing #22 tonight?....is that his permanent number, or will #5 be his number? I think I will be picking up a Bush jersey before the opener.

Ah yes. The joy of preseason hype and hate. A reminder people this is preseason it means nothing one way or the other. There are some good things to take away from this game, and there is much need to keep it in perspective. When Monday night comes against the Patriots will be a real measuring stick of where we are at. Then we can pass real judgement. Until then it is about position evaluations etc.

I feel the same way. You can't fully judge a team based on preseason games, it is a prep time and for young guys to try and earn a spot. I will say this though, last night was very encouraging.

I think ith got a little excitement to it today!!!!

Not really
Watch for people OVER REACTING to a win over possibly
the WORST team in the NFL

According to a lot of fans here, the Dolphins are the worst team.

The win last night matters less.. Carolina was the worst team but that was on their anemic offense. Our first string offense manhandled their first string defense which wasn't a world-beater but in most measurable categories was reasonably respectable. Convenient ad nauseum talking points aside, our starting offense beat a sometimes respectable defense, and did a good job of airing it out against the 22nd worst team in passing yds allowed. So yes, let's take off the vacuum vision glasses and put this into a more objective perspective.

The result is what doesn't matter. Having players who need to step their game up look good is very important IMO

Don't worry that will fade away by Monday.

Then it would be NO PROBLEM posting a few links or names of
"a lot of fans" who think we are the worst team in the NFL

OR MAYBE WE HAVE SOMEONE OVER REACTING
