It's hard to say. It will obviously move faster with 25 votes but you'll have a smaller sampling. People will be most interested in the first 5-10 picks for obvious reasons so I can see where a 50 vote poll may take a while if interest wanes after the first 5-10 picks.

you should do 50 for our pick for example, because there will be more variety...for the first pick, its Rodgers in a landslide

I don't think you can once the poll has been published. Maybe a MOD can do it but I don't think it's possible for mere mortals.
