FinHeaven should shut down during the games.

How about people just don't read the threads they don't want to read?

there is a gameday thread for knee jerk reactions, we could be more Nazi like and move every post during gameday to that thread, but then, guess what, we'd get an even larger amount of complaints about censorship. So... yeah, BAU.

game threads are always bad news, everyone is heated watching the game and posts stuff they probably shouldn't. This happens on all boards in all sports.

in the past a lot of infractions were generated by game day threads, we've loosened up on that a bit, personal attacks can still net you a day off, but otherwise, we try to let fans be fans, and who doesn't cuss after a horrible play?

I think reading the "game day" threads the day after the game has been pretty entertaining. How many times did we play a bad first half this year and soliciting some of the worst comments from fans, and then they end up eating their words.

I used to post in Jets gameday threads, I haven't in a while but for me that's a place to vent rather than yelling at my TV. you guys handle it the right way if that is how you do it. I would never come here and participate in game thread. that's for fans of the team to vent, not for me to discuss anything.

That's a pretty heavy-handed RX for an isolated problem caused by a relatively isolated member fragment.

Don't know if it's possible or viable from a programming or site mgt standpoint, but a more equitable solution would be during game time, to automatically slap a 4 -6 hour ban on any member whose post receives an arbitrary number of "thumbs down" during that span, say like 5. If anything, it would also assist in memberfs self-governing their emotions.

There are some bad posts...they are entertaining and frustrating at the same time though. A lot of fans show their true colors during the game. For example last week there were more than a handful who were happy we were losing, all this while both Pitt and Baltimore were trailing in their games and we still conceivably had a shot at the playoffs. Others were saying the team quit and they didn't want to play for Philbin and that's why they were playing so bad. Then after the comeback and win they bashed the fans who were happy because they didn't want Philbin back. Those same fans were saying the team got lucky, the refs gave us the game, Tannehill STILL sucks and got lucky (sorry but the guy was unstoppable in the 4th quarter when we needed it) and so on and so on.

Very few were unified during the Vikings thread. Some that I remember were...Sims is developing into a nice TE...uh, that might have been it lol.

I enjoyed the heck out of that game. Disappointed with the start and the way the defense played but overall it was a thrilling victory. How many can say they've seen an onside punt off of a safety before that game?

have no idea how you stomach the game thread during the game...i can only imagine how out of whack that gets...i tried it once during a preseason game and emotions were high even then and uhhh never again

Perhaps we could emulate the North Korean Black Out over a few select states.

The Chat is typically pretty good during games, except for like one person that keeps posting Falcons updates.

I have no clue as to why you post here to begin with??? I could see stopping in once in a while and spot posting because we're playing the jets or something but you're here every freakin minute and you're a VIP member and donator for crying out loud. Haha. That just tells me you are a troll who enjoys it too much and just post dumb things to rile people up here.
Anyone here, how do you put someone on ignore? I have to do it with this rubber cone. I'm tired of his act and agenda. And thanks for attempting to derail my thread earlier. And you will be the first poster I ever put on ignore.

lol...it's hard sometimes. Sometimes I just take a break and leave it for a while then come back.

It's not all bad...there are some good posts and observations during the game that get posted...it's just among a lot of "fans" hating on their own team and players.
