FinHeaven Tailgate

For me personally, I'd love to have a hotel... party hard on Saturday. Wake up Sunday... go to the SportsTown tent with the FinHeaven signage and stuff. Have more fun. Go to game.

Sounds amazing AJ. Wish I could go too, but I just bought a house and they keep moving up the closing (it's now mid-September) originally December. They're building it very quickly.

Hope you guys have a great time.

LOL... I guess that's fine then. As the torture process though, she must wear a FinHeaven shirt...

just kidding.

I would love to go, however my schedule doesn't work real well for me to come down this year. Only weekend I can come down is the weekend before which is the away game at Tampa. Which I will be at. It is an awesome idea, and I would definitely do it if I didn't live in Pennsylvania.

A few questions and opinions:

1. is it in tailgate village?
If so, then no bad idea, it denies the fans that have season tickets in

2. Don't forget that we need to arrange tents in the tailgate area we can't crowd too many as it could be an issue

3. I take it is BYOb and BYOF (food)

4. Sports town, is that the huge tent with the store and the bar in it? It gets crowded and loud in there

5. I'd pay a discounted rate to party with you guys as I don't need the tickets, perhaps $20 a person for the shirt and raffle

thats all i can think of for right now will come back with more later

1 - Tailgate Village, you are correct. That's one thing I didn't like. There would be no way for people that didn't buy the tickets, but were FinHeaven fans...

2 - hold on

3 - would be

4 - It is the huge tent. It can be loud, but it's easily recognized.

5 - definitely a good idea.

-------------------------------

the fact is, i can only get orange parking tickets. if I hold a tailgate out there, nobody can find me. I've tried this for the past two years. Everyone thinks it's awesome... and then they try to find us... and they can't. It's a pain in the ***.

the sportstown tent is easily recognizable. anyone can find it.

i may try and contact the stadium about holding our own tent or something on stadium grounds. but that may be pushing it.

if you have any ideas, let me know. I want this to be nice.

i can not attend any games this year because of my work schedule and family responsibilities. but if i could i would say to buy the tickets and would be all for it but this year is not good for me.

Alright,

So I've been busy on the phone with the Dolphins for a while. I've checked on a couple of things...

For us to get around the Dolphins stadium, they would provide a tent and food, etc. We're talkin money here. $1,200 for the tent. $20/person for buffet food. $15/hr for open bar. Crazy.

I'm waiting to hear back to see if we can just reserve some space... and then bring our own stuff. Even with that, doesn't sound like the most convenient things.

Here is the juicy-exclusive FinHeaven thingy.
Since I have been working with 790 The Ticket for some time, I've developed a really strong relationship with them. I have asked them to see if they would be interested in holding a tailgate party, and then FinHeaven piggy back on them. We would of course be paying for some money; however, it wouldn't be that much. I'm waiting to hear back from them.

If that falls through, we'll have to be out in the parking lot. This doesn't sound as fun, but should be pretty cool if we can find someone that has a good spot that can be easily found. This is the key!

Lastly, we could party at a restaurant before and and then go to the game. Not the best of ideas, IMO.

Just to change the subject, but who is going to the NE game on Nov 13th. This will be my first Dolphins game at JRS since DM retired so I am psyched, only problem is I am going with my sister who is a damn Pats fan, other than that I am psyched, have tickets setup, flying in Sat to meet my folks and sis, going to the game Sunday, then back home to Cayman for a week then coming back up to MN for Thanksgiving!

So as I seemed to have lost focus on my OT post, anyone going and want to tailgate? If so PM me and lets go have some beers and kick some Patsie arses!

 to go back on subject -

I think I'm gonna go with the SportsTown thing for right now. There are several reasons...

1 - It's easily recognized for the non-regular-game-goers
2 - 790 The Ticket will help us promote it because their booth is at Sports Town
3 - Little to no cost on my part. There's no tent or food to purchase. I may look into giving away some "coupons" for $10 or something. Nothing big - again, look to save money.

Let me know your thoughts. However, I need to start selling these tickets. Premium members first, then VIPs, then regulars
