finish strong or get a top pick?

which would you guys rather see? the fins finish strong and end up like 9-7 or 8-8 or just bomb out the season and get a top pick? if you want the top 5 or so pick, who do you want to get with it, or would you trade down for more picks?

we finished strong last year and everyone talked about the 6 game win streak and what did that do for us this year? i guess im about ready to accept the fact that we just suck and this team really does need to be injected with some young talent. finishing strong is just gonna drop us in the draft and god forbid make saban ponder bringing mularkey back. if we do endup with a top 10 pick i would try to trade down and endup with 3 total picks in the 1st/2nd round and pickup OL, LB and DB.

I say, attempt to win out and end at 10-6...once we lose our 7th game...then it is truly over with because we all but threw away any chance at any tie breakers by losing to all AFC teams, then I say we can lose out from there.:cooldude:

Gotta agree! The draft pick will sound nice in April but every Sunday morning I want the team to win big and so far every Sunday night this year I'm thinking about the draft pick. How can a true fan root against them ever?

you're right and ever since pornstache showed up we've done just that; tried to win at all cost and look what we've done since 2004, when the lack of young talent from drafts really started to show..

started 0-6 in 2004
started 2-4 in 2005
started 1-5 in 2006

prior to 2004, we hadn't been under .500 after 6 games since 1987. now we've done it 3 consecutive seasons...

I dont know how to this except...Just because you have top pick doesnt mean your going to get a super star...It just means that your going to have to give up alot of money for an unproven player...Look at Danny he was the second to last pick in the first round (1983)...Plus you cant call your self a true fan if you dont want us to finish strong...

WRONG. We won six straight and "finished strong" last year. Thats working out great...wait no it isnt. A real fan thinking long term will say lets get a top pick and build for the future.
