Finnegan signs with Miami

Finnegan gets hurt misses 9 games last year, before that he had 6 years where he played the whole season, Only 30 years has possibly 3 good years left. Patterson can't stay healthy that is why browns let him go along with us.

Every signing is a great signing. I'm not so sure about this one. He went from being one of the better corners in the league to being an after thought. We must really be counting on our rookies from last year to step up.

Are you talking about 2011 Finnegan or 2012-2013 Finnegan? He was injured last year, sure, but he was also no very good the year before that as well. But hey, we've got the cap space we're not spending, so why not?

Dont see not very good. What am i missing?

I think Finnegan's value will be more off the field and in the locker room than on the field. It is great to have him in the film room and in the cornerback meeting rooms. Good news for Taylor and Davis to have to learn from.

Guess he better teach the young ones to bob and weave. (Andre beat down reference)

Completely disagree. He was pretty good in 2012 imo. The Rams had a bad secondary mostly to poor safety play.

He had a high amount of tackles and 3 interceptions, but that was because he played so poorly in coverage that teams were constantly throwing his way. I think he is done, and would rather have gone a different direction in veteran CB like Tarrell Brown

I'd sign Patterson back on the cheap once he realizes that he won't get the deal he's hoping for on the open market. Then just let Patterson, Davis and Taylor fight it out for the last 3 spots on the depth chart. We also have Michael Thomas in the mix. That should be an interesting battle to watch in the offseason.

no risk move. guy is only 30. can't hurt to play opposite of Grimes. He was good i 2012, sucked in 2013. I wonder how much injuries played a role?

Finnegan is the same age as Grimes was when he signed with the Dolphins last year. And remember Grimes was coming off an injury too. Now add a young mid round corner to learn for a year or two behind the vets.

Great veteran mentor. I think he might have something left.

However, I am not done banging the drums for another veteran CB.

A GREAT VETERAN MENTOR??!! ain't this the fool who for damn near his whole time in The League, has been a play away from a fight every daggone game??!! and thrown out of a few?? say what??!!

First signing I'm not thrilled with. Finnegan is a punk, but thats not really the issue I have with him. He just has played so poorly over the past few years and he was one of Jeff Fischers favorite players, if he didn't want him back, makes me question him even more. That being said, its a pretty low risk move...

Oh yea! I am a believer... What a great sign... After the scandal we just went through with Martin, and the Chad Ochocinco CRAP id say there were a lot of discussions with Courtland about issues on the filed. Antics are probably behind this organization for the most part. After he picks Tom Brady off about 3 times Id say everyone will agree this is a great addition. IMO at least. Pound for Pound he is as good as anyone Grimes included. Again my opinion!

Ahhhhhh theres the motivation.

If you mean to tell me you watched even half of the Rams' games last year, ill call you a liar. Youre typing just to type.
