Finnegan signs with Miami

I'm sure there is very little if any guaranteed money. If he sucks, we can let him go. Its certainly worth a shot.
 
It would have been dumb to resign Patterson. He has played a total of 15 games over the past 3 years (look at his career, he is pretty much more of a wuss than glass joe). He is not durable and it isn't worth having him take snaps with the 1s when he will only play 5 games next year. It takes valuable practice time away from someone who will actual play more of the games.....

I am fine with Finnegan. At least there is a chance he will play more than 5 games.

He didn't play well last year mainly due to injuries - it's an exaggeration to say the last few years.

Great to have himon our team.....now I hope he can gain 100lbs in the next 3 months so he can start at RT for us. That's where we need a ton of help.

Wheres all this "character" stuff coming from. I only know him to be pretty feisty on the field. And I kinda like that swag as long as it doesn't hurt the team.
Am i missing something? Are there off-the-field problems as well?

First bad move for hickley. This guy is terrible now and there r a few CBs out there that r much better then him

Basically Finnegan replaces Patterson and offers Taylor competition for the starting position. He obviously isn't what he used to be, but hard to judge him on his play last year when he was hurt. Probably won't see the same results we saw when we signed Grimes coming off an injury, but he adds another veteran presence and another level toughness to the secondary. Finnegan can get under WR's skin and get in their heads, sometimes even before the game starts.

Also, like the Delmas signing, it has no impact on the 2015 compensatory draft pick calculation.

You can judge him on his play 2 years ago when he was absolutely awful
