First signing I'm not thrilled with. Finnegan is a punk, but thats not really the issue I have with him. He just has played so poorly over the past few years and he was one of Jeff Fischers favorite players, if he didn't want him back, makes me question him even more. That being said, its a pretty low risk move...

Wasn't impressive as of late. Hopefully he goes back to playing like he did in Tennessee.
Wheres all this "character" stuff coming from. I only know him to be pretty feisty on the field. And I kinda like that swag as long as it doesn't hurt the team.
Am i missing something? Are there off-the-field problems as well?

You can judge him on his play 2 years ago when he was absolutely awfulNice, and the news comes from RapSheet without three "e".
Basically Finnegan replaces Patterson and offers Taylor competition for the starting position. He obviously isn't what he used to be, but hard to judge him on his play last year when he was hurt. Probably won't see the same results we saw when we signed Grimes coming off an injury, but he adds another veteran presence and another level toughness to the secondary. Finnegan can get under WR's skin and get in their heads, sometimes even before the game starts.
Also, like the Delmas signing, it has no impact on the 2015 compensatory draft pick calculation.

Now add a young mid round corner to learn for a year or two behind the vets.
