Finnegan signs with Miami

now let's bring back dimitri patterson and go into the season with brent grimes, jamar taylor, cortland finnegan, dimitri patterson and will davis!

If Finnegan can teach Davis and Taylor to not only play with an edge but how to get into the head of the receivers, this can only make the defense better.

I hate this move.. like seriously.

You hate bringing in competition?

He had a high amount of tackles and 3 interceptions, but that was because he played so poorly in coverage that teams were constantly throwing his way. I think he is done, and would rather have gone a different direction in veteran CB like Tarrell Brown

He's always had high tackles for a CB because Fisher uses his CBs in run defense. He has them play on the LOS and tackle. Finnegan is not the type to allow catches in front of him. Those tackles come from playing the run.

well we can add corner to the list of not getting first 2 days draft pick positions...

like the signing...scrappy dude. looks like we are trying to change the mentality on the team and add more leadership.

rather have brought Patterson back, but it could still happen. i wonder how much Cortland has left in the tank, he was great in TEN and good his first year in STL. they had terrible safety play that year, but he was productive.

If you think this is a low character guy then watch the video! After watching it like I did you will come away thinking he is not only a really high character guy but a very smart football player. I LOVE this pick-up, very smart player, and it seems we are not aware of the real story with him, his reputation and his so called "character issues".

I would wait for more confirmation but if true, ouch.

Whaaat? RT @AlbertBreer: Word is that Finnegan's deal in Miami is worth $11 million over two years, or close to that.

Great veteran mentor. I think he might have something left.

However, I am not done banging the drums for another veteran CB.

I like it as long as we get one more who doesn't have health issues.....having him and Delmas in the secondary can put us shorthanded real quick
