Finnegan signs with Miami

So lets get this straight. He had 1 bad year due to injuries and that season was ultimately ended by a broken leg. Every other year in the league he has been a great corner. No history of issues off the field and has a tendency to draw guys into penalties. Yet he is a bad sign?

Great corner? By whose standards? Over hype much?

I like the signing but not at that price. If it's true, Finnegan is in the wrong business , he should go full time as an agent.

they obviously see something they really like...but more than that while i think this guy may help us it's another stop gap signing...it's like we want to get 2 years and start over...it's a bit odd...no wonder he cancelled his other visits...coyle must have been serious about getting this guy...

i have the liked the player in the past for sure though...i just think miami overbid here

I think he will end up playing nickel. I see Taylor taking the 2nd CB spot.

I like the signing as a depth signing, and if he plays his way into a starters roll.... then he deserves it.

that's high money for a 30 plus year old nickle...coming off a terrible year...just sayin

Gonna need to see the guaranteed figures first before I make a judgement. I'd be shocked if it was more than $3-4m guaranteed, I imagine we have an easy out after 1 season. Jamar Taylor's really gonna need to step up because if he's starting on the boundary we're gonna get torched.

Could be Hickey not saddling the next regime if things don't go well next yr and Philbin and his crew gets fired.....

I like the signing of him. This guys plays with his hair on fire. Not sure he will be a monster for us but atleast he has balls. To many Sundays I sit in front of my tv watching my beloved fins and saying we look SOFT. This guy plays his ass off and I hope he plays like that for us. We need more guys like him on our roster. He fights for everything on the field and plays like he cares. And most of all he is now a Miami dolphin and I will be rooting for him. Win/lose/or draw

Agree - There are MANY times this team looks soft and it pisses me off!!

It's pretty stupid to judge the deal before the terms are disclosed and it's known what the guarantees are and how they are structured. Idiotic really. Roto is blasting it and I'm not suprised as they're more invested in bashing the Fins.

Example: Aqib Talib - Contrast the initially announced deal vs what the broken down contract details. Night and day.

I'll tell you what, if these guys stay healthy they will dish out some serious punishment in the secondary when you add hard hitting Reshad Jones to the mix...

Folks...you do realize the AVERAGE salary for a starting CB not on a rookie deal is $5.5M?

well here's hoping none of it is guaranteed...at that number though i see the chances as slim to none

we should be making him go to camp and prove it...incentive laden type stuff...
