ESPN John Clayton's Top 5 Winners and Losers So far in FA he has Miami at winners No.5 - SO FAR

5. Miami Dolphins: Last year they were the big spenders, but this year they made a good start in fixing their offensive line with the signing of Branden Albert at left tackle. Over the course of this offseason, they will be looking to replace four starters along the line. They still have Mike Pouncey at center. They will probably sign a veteran right tackle and maybe a guard. They have the draft for other options. Re-signing Randy Starks was huge at defensive tackle and they saved a little money signing Earl Mitchell for the other tackle spot after the departure of Soliai.

A positive Dolphins comment from the media. What a pleasant surprise.
Just about every move was criticized by the other reporters/journalists/professional tweeters.

Articles are fine results are what counts what have Hoops and CK have had to say about our signings

I'll give Hickey some credit, I think he did well in FA so far. Nothing spectacular, but solid moves. But his true measure will come in the draft.

It is funny how local guys like Hyde are complaining about not mind reading about Wilfork maybe getting cut and Armando calling the team cheap.

Yet the national view is much more positive. Bill Polian likes what we are doing and so does John Clayton. Hell even usual anti-Dolphins guys like Marvez and Silva has praised the team for what they have done so far.

Once again, why does anyone care about what the media has to say? Good or bad it doesn't matter. What matters is what the team does out on the field.

Ozzy rules!!

You know what's sad is back in the day...we were like the Patriots....everyone praised Shula and the Dolphins... The Dolphins for the most part always had a positive vibe from ther national media since there was a time the Dolphins had the best percentage of wins and best franchise in all of sports! Now we have to beg for a positive article about the Fins!! Sad! Wannstedt you son of a bitch!!!

We had one obvious glaring hole in the roster at LT, and that was filled by the best possible FA to do what the Fins needed by protecting Tannehill's back. We have several positions that could use an upgrade, but this first move was the most critical. If we didn't add another player to the defense, I don't think we are any worse than last year, barring a major injury. Let's upgrade the other o-line spots, add another TE and RB, and I think we'll be ok.
