Can anyone name me a team in the history of the NFL where there were two TOP 5 Picks(Ronnie 2nd Overall,Ricky 5th Overall) in the same Backfield ? ? ?.
Remember about 4 years ago when the Dolphins had No one at RB(Lamar Smith does not count Guys)....look at us now! ! !

I'm looking for RB only that were top 5 picks on the same team!!!

Were Edge and Faulk at Indy together? Other than those I can't come up with any. :french:

To be more specific how about 2 top five backs on the field at the same time!

How about Ricky and Duece McAllister? I don't remember where Duece was drafted, but it was first round.

Indy,a few years back,had the #1 & # 2 picks ,1-Steve Entman(sp?)ans 2-Q.Coratt ,a Lb . Nether panned out long term.
You know your bad when you have the 1st and 2nd picks and
mess them up.

I'm talking about Running Backs Only....can anyone name another team or are we the first team to have 2 top 5 picks play at RB?

The greatest part about having two top 5 picks in the backfield at the same time is that usually when something like that happens one of them is a bust and only marginally productive. As far as his field work, Ricky Williams is anything but a bust. And, hopefully, Ronnie Brown will be anything but a bust too.

Ravens won the super bowl with a strong defense and both Priest Holmes and Jamal Lewis in the backfield...even managed to do it with crap at WR and Trent Dilfer as QB...

He was in the early 20s as Wanny was gonna grab him before the aints beat him to it and in his infinite wisdom choose Fletcher :shakeno:

whats interesting is that I consider Ronnie to be alot like Deuce(Big,fast, good hands) so Ricky and the Deuce Clone in '05.....sounds good to me!!

I can not think of any! I think we may be the only one in MODERN football. I have no idea how it worked pre-Superbowl I.
