I am converting the game file (with commercials) into a single xvid avi file that will be about 1.2g. It will finish compressing and should be up on lokitorrent tomorrow am.

Not sure if anyone needs it, but this will be a practice for next week.
 
It is up. If someone downloads it, let me know about the video quality and what players you used to watch it. You have to install the xvid codec first. It is included in the .torrent.

If you cant get anything to play it, download videolan player.
 
Didnt know you wanted to do it this week.If you want Ill help you out.I was surprised to see that not everyone has ESPN plus I see some people like to have the games on their PCs.
 
Jax.Even better than xvid is Divx 5.It reduces the size far greater than xvid and its excellent quality.Here is a link http://www.divx.com/divx/windows/

The file is up on www.lokitorrent.com .To sign up register as FinFan and use the password¨"finheaven" (Without the quotes).The file size is 1.17 Gig.There is 1 seeder and 3 downloaders at this time.Even though personally I am not interested I will help seed when I am done downloading.

Jax.Experiment with the Divx 5 format.That will reduce that same file you have to approx 900 meg with no appreciable loss of quality.
 
Our oline is awful.

Wow. I thought xvid offered a smaller final file size as compared to divx 5. I have virturaldub and divx codec, but when I try to convert it, it says that I dont have the correct type of input file or something.

There is a 24 or 32 multiplier restriction on divx conversions. I capped it at 320x240 for that reason. It still gave me that error.

Excellent.Thats the way we will go from now on .Great size,great quality.

If it goes a little beyond 700 megs maybe you can explore cutting a couple of commercial off in order to fit them on a standard CD.I have kept all the games on my PC so far but sooner or later I will have to burn them or delete them.



Keep up the good work JAX.I hope you will have the patience to do this throughout the season.Lets give JAX a hand.
 
I signed up just to thank you Crunch and Jax for your efforts in organizing the game torrents for us.I normally only get to see a couple of games a year.Now I can see them all and keep them on my computer.I will try to help seeding in the future.

Also I have learned a lot from your posts and I am using torrents regularly now.
 
OK, I have compressed the same 1.9gb original mpeg file to a file that will fit on a CD. The quality looks same. Anyone willing to d/l it if I host it so you can judge the quality?

Let me know. I'll check this thread frequently.
 
Ill download it for you but I dont know if I can with only one seeder and one leecher.Will give it a try.How is it listed.?
 
We could try on messenger if you want although I dont know if it will handle a file that size.
