The Dolphins are close to locking up Texans outside linebacker Charlie Anderson and Titans defensive tackle Randy Starks, according to sources.

They're also negotiating with Cardinals 6-5, 270-pound linebacker Calvin Pace, who is coming off a breakout season with 98 tackles and 6.5 sacks. However, his agent is apparently looking for Joey Porter money ($20 million guaranteed), which is slowing down negotiations.

Anderson is a serviceable starter/backup LB who's pretty good on special teams. He also has the size for a 3-4. He's 6-4 250. He was actually drafted by the Texans when they ran the 3-4 under Dom Capers.

He would be a good pickup at the right price.

No doubt we needed depth at LB. Question - was Pope ever resigned (if he was even a FA)?

i really hope they can get pace signed i think he could be great dont know much about anderson. guess we'll see.

Anderson is a special teamer, he and Torbor really upgrade the backup LB/special teams for this team.

Sorry, Pace to MIAMI is done (according to NFLN).

Pace himself is done only if he rejects Parcells' offer :)

i saw the ticker it said he was in visiting i didnt see where it said it is done
i will wait when it comes back around

good lord...have we spent all of our cap money yet?
