First of all the Dolphins have no pass rush and that sucks but the team needs a real shut down corner and a young defensive tackle that can rush the QB and stop the run. IMO LSU DT would be great. A new defensive end to replace Taylor would be nice because; I am having my doubts about Roth's ability to do anything right, this guy is a real meat head. Long would be a good choice. I think Safety and LB will be ok if injured players can heal but if Bell and Hill are slow to heal there could be problems. lets just see who':grapeape:s on the team in 2008?

Um i don't think there is a place on the defense that is not a need. The linebackers are getting old as is the defensive linemen other than Roth who has not really become what we had hopped..yet.

I would say its a toss up between WR's and secondary help, I wouldnt be opposed to replacing all but one WR (Ginn) And nobody in the secondary should feel safe IMO.

A good start would be Gibril Wilson, Terrence Newman and Cory Williams.

Add in Dorsey and Crable on day one of the draft, and you have the makings of a decent group. Guys like Channing Crowder, Roth, Quentin Moses, Rod Wright, Soliai and Jason Allen should continue to grow, while you know what you get with JT, Vonnie, and to an extent, Will Allen.

Is Terrance Nueman a FA? If so i would take him or Asante Samuel who is from Florida. I think Asante Samuel would be a big possibility but i think he might go to the Jets or maybe even Buffalo who has a large Cap to spend.

Needs on defense?

NT, DE, ILB, OLB, CB, S

I think that about covers it

Needs on Defense?

We need an entire attitude and motivational adjustment, to bring young players in right now might contaminate them with our previous crappy tackling, lack of knowledge of assignments and poor aggressive nature.

Add in poor tackling and we have to cleanse the roster first of dead wood who will not perform week in and week out.

Even keeping Channing Crowder is an act of courage on behalf of our new Coaching staff....

Yes I believe Newman is a UFA if I'm not mistaken.

You know how sick it would be to get Terrance Nueman on our team? He would be the best cornerback we've had on our team since Patrick Surtain and Sam Madison. Champ Bailey like coverage is what we would get from Terrance Nueman.

Well, based on the Cowboys connection, I would say if he hits the market (you never know) he would be more likely than Samuel and Trufant.

The one thing that reminded me of how bad our defense was this year was the fact that New Englad put up 42 points in the 1st half like it was nothing. They steem rolled alot people this year but there's no way they should have put up that much on us.

asante would be nice and a good slap in the face to the patriots, i live in new england and if always had a soft spot for asante and i watch all the games because my friends are pats fans (who wouldn't be in new, oh ya.. me) and asante is a big play corner. hes continually grown over the past 4 years starting with his grooming from ty law. then they shipped out law and gave the spot to him and he has flourished. he tackles well, he plays a good zone and he is above average one on one. he positions himself well to make the big play as we see with his highlights of INT's on opposing quarterbacks.

having said this all, i think the price he wants is going to be champ bailey money. i dont think hes worth that because i feel no one is worth it.
