Fins fans like me will never forget and will struggle to forgive Wannstadt for the nightmare we are now living. This disaster that we are in will linger because he is the epitomy of mediocracy. Our best/worst case scenerio is 8 & 8 and I prefer to go 2 and 14 and get a top 3 draft choice. It is better to bottom out and have the rage of our fan base attack management in order to get real change. I wish AJ and Lamar Gordon and Marty Booker maximum success. I think they are fine acquisitions in light of our predicament.

But Wannstadt is such a complete nightmare. Like Joe Walton of the Jets, or Steve Spurrier of the Redskins, or Joe Bugel when he was head coach of the Cardinals, or Dennis Erikson - Wanny is destined for the scrap heap of coaches that ruined a franchise for many many years.

Sorry Dolphin fans, I am a longstanding optimist. A true lover. I remember Bill Judson, David Overstreet, Earnie Rhone, - I loved Don McNeal, Bob Bomhauer, Duriel Harris, Jon Geisler, John Offerdahl, Bruce Hardy, the Marks brothers, Crash Jenson, WoodStrock...I remember Troy Vincent leaving when Shula retired out of principle, The Blackwood Brothers, Griese to Warfield, Mercury Morris, Bill Stanfill, Manny Fernandez, The Mike Charles Levitation dance ( He sacked Richard Todd and when Todd got up Charles stood over him and levitated him - Todd was furious and Shula ended up fining Mike Charles - that was genious) I saw Danny throw 5 TD's against the Skins opening day 84. and Danny stole the Bears perfection on national TV. I was there when...I do not/never have lived in Florida but I have gotten splinters in my *** from sitting on the fiberglass benches of the Orange Bowl. I brought my wife and newborn to pro player last season to watch us beat the Skins on a Sunday night - I am the real deal - So nobody is gonna label me a synic...

Fact are facts and our franchise smells like a dead rat...Somebody needs to put us out of our misery today -Wanstadt MUST go...So all of you hopefuls - will sit it out just like me and watch us go 8 & 8 and have to suffer through the possibility of keeping this JACKASS head coach another year. This is starting to age me!

Good lord, thank god you are not a Charger or Cardinal fan, because you might have died by now. We are one week into the season and a lot of things can happen. I am not defending Wanny, but you shouldn't lose faith in your team just because of the current coaching staff. While I don't want to have a .500 season, you make it seem that a .500 season is the worst thing that can happen to this team. There are a lot of fans who stand by their teams that consistently win no more then 5 or 6 games. We are coming off a 10 win season and still have 15 games to go. Give me a break.

Just because you post a few names doesn't mean or prove squat. In fact, what does it have to do with the theme of your post--Getting rid of Wannstedt???? Nothing. You are like the whole host of other "the grass is greener on the other side" people. Well, if or when Wanny is removed, what is the guarentee that the new coach will have immediate success??? Little to none my friend. You and those other people like you think that a new coach will change everything immediately. That seldom ever really happens. So be careful what you wish for, and a true fan would at least watch a few more games to have logic and reason behind their doom casting.

Doom and gloom. Have faith. It's only week two!

Wanny is crap but lets have some faith in the team he isn't playing.....thank god

I'm your same age (39) . I go back aways as well. It sucks right now after the Wanny years. I believe that this is the down period and we will come back up. A little suffering. This isn't Cleveland , Cinncy , etcc. It's Miami. It will draw the right talent in the future both in the front office , coaching and on the field. Keep the Faith and stay away from the bridges.

Its not wanny's fault that ricky quit. its not wannys fault that feeley didnt show much in preseason. its not wannys fault that dan marino said no deal. its not wannys fault that boston hurt his knee.

its Wannys fault that he did not name a permanent starter. its wannys fault about the OC deal. Its wannys fault about swithing Carey to G for a week.

just be real and fair and give facts, not repetitive slogans and doom and gloom. i myself am excited to see what feeley booker and gordon can do.

it may very well have a lot to do with "wanny" that Ricky bailed, Dan bailed, and David "lose some more muscle" Bostongot hurt:shakeno:

Ricky bailed for the bail. :peebs:

I appreciate some out there that think "well it is only week one and that we can turn it around". I say BS.

This year 4 or 5 or something like that.

I personally would rather collapse completely then suffer another year in mediocre land. I do not want Huizenga keeping this pile of Dung around.

He has NO philosophy that has ever proven effective. He has no direction. His leadership is poor. His media relations are poor. His decision making is poor.
His talent level is exceptional.

I am angry and I want change NOW!

Wanny lacks the personality of a big time coach and he is way too conservative for today's type of football, he better suited to be a defensive cord. rather than a head coach.

It's only week one guys we still have to beleive, we still have a top five defense and with given time our offense will come our arond to give our D some support....
