Fins fans like me will never forget...

A new coach that has nothing to do with this organization will dismantle this team.

Not a good idea.

I would prefer to promote an "offensive" mind from within.

Collier?

Trestman?

But for now Im going to support Wanny.

He did BENCH FIEDLER!!!

He did "go for it" on a 4th and 1.

I like that.

I bet we "route" the Bengals.

Ive got a real good feeling about Sunday.

Im more excited about this season then I have been about past seasons.

I like the fact that we are 5 point underdogs!!!!!!!

I love taking Las Vegas money.

Fins fans like me will never forget and will struggle to forgive Wannstadt for the nightmare we are now living. This disaster that we are in will linger because he is the epitomy of mediocracy. Our best/worst case scenerio is 8 & 8 and I prefer to go 2 and 14 and get a top 3 draft choice. It is better to bottom out and have the rage of our fan base attack management in order to get real change. I wish AJ and Lamar Gordon and Marty Booker maximum success. I think they are fine acquisitions in light of our predicament.

But Wannstadt is such a complete nightmare. Like Joe Walton of the Jets, or Steve Spurrier of the Redskins, or Joe Bugel when he was head coach of the Cardinals, or Dennis Erikson - Wanny is destined for the scrap heap of coaches that ruined a franchise for many many years.

Sorry Dolphin fans, I am a longstanding optimist. A true lover. I remember Bill Judson, David Overstreet, Earnie Rhone, - I loved Don McNeal, Bob Bomhauer, Duriel Harris, Jon Geisler, John Offerdahl, Bruce Hardy, the Marks brothers, Crash Jenson, WoodStrock...I remember Troy Vincent leaving when Shula retired out of principle, The Blackwood Brothers, Griese to Warfield, Mercury Morris, Bill Stanfill, Manny Fernandez, The Mike Charles Levitation dance ( He sacked Richard Todd and when Todd got up Charles stood over him and levitated him - Todd was furious and Shula ended up fining Mike Charles - that was genious) I saw Danny throw 5 TD's against the Skins opening day 84. and Danny stole the Bears perfection on national TV. I was there when...I do not/never have lived in Florida but I have gotten splinters in my *** from sitting on the fiberglass benches of the Orange Bowl. I brought my wife and newborn to pro player last season to watch us beat the Skins on a Sunday night - I am the real deal - So nobody is gonna label me a synic...

Fact are facts and our franchise smells like a dead rat...Somebody needs to put us out of our misery today -Wanstadt MUST go...So all of you hopefuls - will sit it out just like me and watch us go 8 & 8 and have to suffer through the possibility of keeping this JACKASS head coach another year. This is starting to age me!

Amen Fin Brother .....Amen.

Great to see the nice warm welcome people with dissenting opinions recieve here... Don't worry Raving, the majority of the people that don't care about how long you have been a Fin fan or don't bother to refute your arguments were probably in diapers when Marino was slinging the ball around. For them, the expectation level is not that high anyways, I mean we were in the AFC championship game in 1992.. After that the best moment in Dolphins history was when we almost beat the Chargers in the divisional...

I hear where you are coming from. Shula, for all his flaws, was one of the greatest coaches of all time. JJ came and went, but where would our defense be without him??? This franchise has been on the decline every single year that Wanny has been here. His calculated moves like trading away first round draft picks for a head case bit him in the ***. Two years ago we had so much talent yet couldn't hold an 11 point lead in the 4th quarter to win the division. Wanny looks like a wounded animal on the sidelines. We are a joke amongst the national media, and our offense looks pathetic. This proud franchise is headed the way of the Bears under Wanny, and we have every right to be upset about it. That doesn't make you any less of a fan, it just makes you realistic. I'll state it again. WE WATCH FOOTBALL to see our team in the Super Bowl hoisting the Lombardi trophy at the end of year. 2 years ago that goal seemed realistic. With Wanny at the helm, given chance after chance to break trends, to win big games on the road, to come up with some creativity, we have nothing but failure- and a Lombardi trophy that isn't even imaginable at this time.

-Said it correctly. As Bum Phillips once said " Shula can take hisins and beat yoins , and he can't yoins and beat hisins".

- Is anyone else tired of "systems" ? Adapt to the talent. Cards dealt. Things the way they are.

Sorry Mr Yu.....I seem to have left my "retarded dictionary" at home.

Ill translate for you when I get back there.
- Since the PC version should be "Mental Impaired" , I will start from there.

- How do we get our Offensive moving ? From within who? How was that determined? The names you listed , how many games did they coach and win on the Offensive side of the ball?

That post almost braught a tear to my eye you sir bleed aqua and orange and I feel for you :(

I appreciate some out there that think "well it is only week one and that we can turn it around". I say BS.

This year 4 or 5 or something like that.

I personally would rather collapse completely then suffer another year in mediocre land. I do not want Huizenga keeping this pile of Dung around.

He has NO philosophy that has ever proven effective. He has no direction. His leadership is poor. His media relations are poor. His decision making is poor.
His talent level is exceptional.

I am angry and I want change NOW!
Your username is quite accurate, but you left off the word lunatic. No strategy that has ever proven effective? Ball control offense and a top-tier defense has never proven effective? Do you realize that under Wannstedt we've won a division title?Have you ever watched a football game? We won 10 games last season. We had some setbacks this offseason and we're working to overcome them. If the Dolphins make the playoffs and advance you will look like a complete idiot. Has Dave been perfect? No. Has been the worst thing in the history of Dolphins football? No. See how this season plays out before you lynch a guy for winning ten games a year and the occasional divisional title.

You know, I can name and shout all the names and moments you named just to prove that I am a "REAL FAN FROM WAY BACK" like you did, and I still don't feel the gloom that surrounds your life. After week 1 for some reason I feel more optimistic about this season then ever, especially since we been through what we've been through in this offseason, and that's after a loss. If you really feel like you do, and we still have 15 more games to go through, why even post or watch games this season? Just sit in the corner, or better yet, go kick rocks and tell a patriots fan how you feel. Many people still look foward to the many weeks we have ahead of us, regardless of your gloom and doom thoughts. This season holds alot of surprises IMO. And that's not just with our team. Somehow I forgot how negative life can be as a Finz Fan. :shakeno: I hate to think of you cheering when something does happen this season. Hopefully this team will make you STFU.

While the team under wanny has had consistenly "good" seasons, they haven't progressed at all from year one, nor have they shown any ability to rise to the occasion for important games. My problem w/ Dave is that I feel like our team is underprepared and outcoached almost every single week. For all of his faults Jimmy Johnson always had his teams ready on opening day. They came out ready and it showed. This year we had a lot of injuries so Dave should only take a portion of the blame (Indecision w/ QB, line, etc...) but last year's opening day loss was embarrassing and it appears to be the start of a trend.

For such a conservative team, the amount of penalties we commit is absurd. Penalties are a clear indicator of poor coaching/ discipline. Beyond that, our schemes are very vanilla and good teams, New England for example, exploit our lack of creativity on both sides of the ball. The talent we've had over the last 4 years is, imo, being squandered and it's very frustrating. Without creative schemes and gameplanning, we're at a huge disadvantage. We seem to win the games in which our talent is so superior that it doesn't really matter what we do. That gets us our 9-10 wins. Rarely do we go out and dictate the tone of the game by what we run either offensively or defensively. Last year's Dallas game was a glimpse, but that aggressiveness appears to have been an anomoly. I wish we would see it on a more regular basis.

I sincerely hope Dave proves me wrong. I would like more than anything to see a playoff run this year. Maybe w/ his job on the line, Dave will open things up a little more on both sides of the ball. I think he's lucky to still be here, but if both he and the team fail to respond, then he needs to go. I'm all for maintiniing continuity, but my patience has worn very thin. Let's get AJ, Lamar, and Marty on the same page, get Timbo back, and give it a run. I still think we can have a good year, we just need to be more aggressive. After all that's happened this offseason, I feel like w/ all of our new players, we might actually be poised to improve and finish strong. Let's hope so. A man can dream can't he?

I wonder if that's what Zach Thomas & Junior Seau would prefer.

So let me guess, if we win you are going to be upset because we don't get the highest draft pick? Boy you better reconsider being a fan for this team.
