1st- Clint Sintim/ Brian Cushing OLB - both are very good outside linebackers with great speed who play both the run and pass well. i would want sintim first then cushing if he werent available.

2nd- Kenny Britt WR - this guy is one of the better wide recievers in the contry great size at 6'4 215 lbs and good speed the perfect compliment to ginn, bess, and camarillo would also allow us to cut wilford and that salary.

2nd- Alphonso Smith/ Dominique Johnson CB - i know people are sayin huge difference between the two and there is but we could use either one both have tremendous speed and are very physical johnson had better size but smith is definatly the better player either one is fine with me.

3rd- Dorell Scott NT - I know this doesnt seem like a great pick but scott has great upper body stregnth and has the fram to add alot more weight to his already 30 lb body. the best part about scott is at his size he is some what athletic with a year under ferguson and working out he could be a very solid nose tackle.

4th- Eric Wood C- Some people are probably asking why center but satele looks like he wil either be a gaurd for us or a quality reserve lineman. wood is a brick in the middle of louiville OL and is exactly what our staff looks for in there centers reminds me of gurode.

5th- Sherrod Martin FS- This guy is a solid FS from troy who is decent against the run and pass he also has good size and speed. Would help on special teams immeadiatly and could possibly develop into a starter.

6th- Jasper Brinkley ILB- Before the injuries he was a stud and that will cause him to slip and make him posibly available here. He is a great run stuffer at the ILB and exactly what we could use.

6th- Wapamo Osaisai Cb- Another corner with decent size and speed from stanford could possibly make the team as a special teamer.

7th- Dallas Reynolds- Another center people are saying bt this guy is one of the most versatile lineman in the draft soething sporano always talks bout. Has great size at 6'5 325 and has played every position but left tackle also a guy scouts project to do well in the bench

Thats my first mock i wont do another one til before the draft let me no what you think.

1st- Clint Sintim/ Brian Cushing OLB - both are very good outside linebackers with great speed who play both the run and pass well. i would want sintim first then cushing if he werent available.
--yeah i like sintim alot, I'm still not completly sold on him, i'd rather take him if he's still around with the redskins 2a pick.. brian cushing is very overrated and should fall to middle of second round, i wouldn't mind picking him up there tho... 1st round i'm thinkin ILB like a spikes/maula/laurenitis one of those guys will be there with the 25th pick.

2nd- Kenny Britt WR - this guy is one of the better wide recievers in the contry great size at 6'4 215 lbs and good speed the perfect compliment to ginn, bess, and camarillo would also allow us to cut wilford and that salary.
--he wont fall this far, but if he does, I'll be screaming for this draft pick... look for us to go defense here, and try a WR with the 2b or 3..

2nd- Alphonso Smith/ Dominique Johnson CB - i know people are sayin huge difference between the two and there is but we could use either one both have tremendous speed and are very physical johnson had better size but smith is definatly the better player either one is fine with me.
-isn't smith 5'9? if he is no fricken way, unless he falls into 3rd or 4th.. dominque is an interesting prospect, he is much taller at 6'0 or 6'1 if i remember correctly... Will Allen is our short CB, we need some size to go against Moss/Brady next year.. i really like Darius Butler here but wouldn't be upset with any of those three guys..

--i never heard of him, but i really like Vince Oghobasse from Duke, he could slip into 3rd, but i think he's a late 2nd or very early 3rd, i'd love Oghobasse with the 2b pick.. however we dont need him if we get Terrence Cody in the first round (my mock 1st rounder)

4th- Eric Wood C- Some people are probably asking why center but satele looks like he wil either be a gaurd for us or a quality reserve lineman. wood is a brick in the middle of louiville OL and is exactly what our staff looks for in there centers reminds me of gurode.
---yeah we need interior line depth... dunno the kid but if he's big and has nice feet, then draft him.

5th- Sherrod Martin FS- This guy is a solid FS from troy who is decent against the run and pass he also has good size and speed. Would help on special teams immeadiatly and could possibly develop into a starter.
-sherrod is very talented with pretty good size.. we really need an upgrade at FS, i'd be happy with sherrod in the 4th, as i think he's a 3rd rounder for team in need. would prefer Rashad Johnson (FS Alabama) in 2nd round, talent gets thin after second round, however Martin could be the next Chris Horton...
6th- Jasper Brinkley ILB- Before the injuries he was a stud and that will cause him to slip and make him posibly available here. He is a great run stuffer at the ILB and exactly what we could use.
--wow, first of all i could beat this guy in a race, secondly he's a late 3rd or 4th round prospect, if he works out at the combine, he will shoot up a little with his strength and size.. to slow to be a day one guy like once believed
6th- Wapamo Osaisai Cb- Another corner with decent size and speed from stanford could possibly make the team as a special teamer.
---i remember watching one game of his and he had a INT and pass defended and i thought, wow that kid has an awesome name.. I would love this pick this late in the draft, i dunno where he's projected...
7th- Dallas Reynolds- Another center people are saying bt this guy is one of the most versatile lineman in the draft soething sporano always talks bout. Has great size at 6'5 325 and has played every position but left tackle also a guy scouts project to do well in the bench
we also have 2 more 7th rounders from the McCown and T.Daniels trades.. So we should work out a backup OL/LB/SS for special teams or maybe we hit on at least one big time... also would like to draft a big leg punter here, fields needs some competition, hes an average Punter at best.
Thats my first mock i wont do another one til before the draft let me no what you think.

overall, i like your team needs... i think your underrating some of the guys and overating Cushing, he thrives on Maulaluga.. i think since we could use upgrades at so many positions, we have to take BPA, hopefully a DB, LB or NT...
Grade- B (with extra credit for Osaisai)

Just curious as to how we have 2 6th round picks? My understanding is that we traded a 6th this year for ferg, and we received a 6th from washington for taylor, but that 6th is for the 2010 draft. We should have an extra 7th though....is that right?

Nice mock

I think we'll go with even more defense though.

1. BJ.Raji NT - We need someone to split with Ferguson right away.

2. T.Jackson DE - If avaialble he's a true 3/4 DE that adds alot of depth.

2. D.Johnson CB - Great combo of size and speed.

3. S.McKillop ILB - Great player that can be moved to OLB.

4. J.Brinkley ILB - Huge ILB to anchor the Middle.

5. S.Martin FS - Another guy with great speed and is an animal all over the field.

Here's my stab as of now:

1. Larry English - OLB, Northern Illinois - Joey Porter's replacement
2. Antoine Caldwell - C, Alabama - an upgrade in strenght over Satele
2. Rashad Johnson - FS, Alabama - a Renaldo Hill clone to replace Renaldo Hill
3. Pannel Egboh - OLB, Stanford - an upgrade to Roth in the mold of Greg Ellis
4. Hakeem Nicks - WR, North Carolina - better than Wilford and Hannon
5. Coye Francies - CB, San Jose State - remember Dwight Lowery from last year?
7. Myron Pyror - NT, Kentucky - smallish guy in the mold of Jay Ratliff
7. Mike Tepper - T, California - backup T depth never hurts
7. Marquez Branson - TE/FB, Central Arkansas - Cramer and Haynos combo.

I haven't seen anywhere that has L.English with a 1st round grade. I don't know alot about him, is he having a spectacular year or something?

Just a few things: Caldwell is probably too high there, Rashad is probably too low, Egboh would be a 3-4 end, not OLB, the guy is HUGE, and is not worth a 3rd rounder at this point.

OK, I have to ask all of you one question.....

Who is going to play RT for us (considering Carey wants big money and he is not playing to that level)?

1. OLB Clint Sintim, University of Virginia
2a. S Rashad Johnson, University of Alabama
2b. C Jonathan Luigs, University of Arkansas
3. CB Coye Francies, San Jose State
4. NT Ron Brace, Boston College
5. CB Londen Fryar, Western Michigan
7. NT Jeff Owens, University of Georgia
7. ILB Antonio Appleby, University of Virginia
7. OG Ryan Durand, Syracuse University

pretty good but i doubt brace lasts to 4. maybe 3.

I haven't seen anywhere that has L.English with a 1st round grade. I don't know alot about him, is he having a spectacular year or something?

He made Kiper and Mayock's list of top 20 senior prospects. I think he'll have a good enough combine to crack the last 8-10 picks of the first round there. He's just under the radar as he plays in the MAC, and for Northern Illinois at that.

Just a few things: Caldwell is probably too high there, Rashad is probably too low, Egboh would be a 3-4 end, not OLB, the guy is HUGE, and is not worth a 3rd rounder at this point.

Caldwell is going to rocket up draft boards, and you have to remember that our first pick in the 2nd round is in the middle of the round. Caldwell has great intangibles, and is probably the best lineman on the Crimson Tide - he's just overshadowed because Andre' Smith, whom is vastly overrated by most, happens to play the "glamour position" on the O-line.

Rashad Johnson as that pick could easily be Louis Delmas from Western Michigan. Johnson has some red flags in his past and probably isn't going to light the world on fire at the combine. There's other S prospects who'll get drafted before him.

Egboh stands in at 270-275 lbs - which is right about what this regime looks for in their SOLB. Parcells wanted to draft Merriman for the same role in Dallas in 2005, Merriman is 272 lbs. They have Greg Ellis playing the role right now, who is 6'6" and weighs 277 lbs. - practically the same dimensions as Egboh.

Egboh's miscast playing DE in that Stanford defense, but he's strong at the point of attack, tall, with long arms to clog up passing lanes, and has just enough quickness to be an upgrade to Matt Roth. Given what I think what he'll do at the combine, a 3rd rounder is not overdrafting Egboh.

Delmas will creep into the late 1st early 2nd sadly : /

English will go from the 20s in round 1 to the low 2nd if he lasts that far.

Caldwell will go from the 20s to the early/mid 2nd and Johnson will go about early to mid 2nd. Johnson is small but the best cover safety in the game and very very smart.

Cushing has some injury concerns. I would take Raji.
