Fins get 1st round pick back?

SO now that our season just got a whole lot darker...:( Is the NFL going to award us back our 1st round pick we gave up for Ricky? Or any other picks?
 
Ey, we only got 2 years out of the guy!! We gave up a whole lot for him.
 
Getting 2 years out of him is the reason why the NFL wouldn't award a pick. It would be different if he never played a down for the Dolphins.
 
No, daddy's not gonna bail us out of this mess. Miami knew he was "different" when they got him, it was their risk, that they willingly took.
 
Nope, they won't award us squat.

The Patriots lost Robert Edwards to what was essentially a career-ending injury (I know it didn't actually end his career, but it certainly ended his career as a viable #1 tailback) at a beach football game for NFL rookies. The Patriots requested (with some justification) a compensatory pick from the NFL for this, since it was an activity that THEY had asked him to participate in. The NFL denied the request.

If they wouldn't give the Patriots a compensatory pick, they certainly won't do it in this situation.
 
Only thing we can get back from the RW trade is about $3 million of the signing bonus that New Orleans gave him when he originally signed. Even though New Orleans paid it, that conveyed to the Dolphins when the trade went down, and Ricky could be obligated to return the pro-rated portion for the two years on the initial contract that he is refusing to play.

That's Miami's fault. You get nothing in return when a guy retires. Miami should have done better homework on Ricky before trading for him.
 
I heard Steve Shapiro in the Sports Show mention quickly about a 1st rounder coming back. Even though you guys say no, is it possible in anyway.
