Fins Holding Pat White Cards Close to Vest

I've been getting the same notion....Im sure Belicheat is wishing he could get a camera in the bubble...

I am looking forward to not only seeing what the new offensive wrinkles are goign to be this year, Selecting white was such a wildcard. The possibilities are endless right now what we can do with him.

Am I the only one on edge who cant wait to play the wildcat on madden?

Wow what a concept! Keeping other teams in the dark about your new weapon and the packages you will run. Why the hell didn't I think of that.

Geniuses!

Also I'm pretty damn sure the packages we will run and how we will use him have already been determined. They speak as if the Dolphins have done nothing to this point. Laughable.

It's probably at this point just as un-clear to the team also. There is lots to see as far as who is capable of what at this point.

I thinks it's easy to see that he'd be an asset to the WC but doesn't mean he'll be good enough to play at this point. Many guys do crumble under the pressures of the NFL.

At least we're finally talking about football though!

Totally disagree. I think they had a plan on how they were going to use Pat White when they drafted him.

This coaching staff is a lot smarter than people are giving them credit for. I notice people are taking what they say at face value. That's a big mistake with this group. The addition of Pat White will make Miami one of the most exciting teams to watch.

OH of coarse they did.....they do for everyone. What I'm trying to say is there still is a chance he won't fit in the way they hope or he develops slowly.....those things do happen.

Regardless of his talent level in college some guys either take some time to get it or never do once they get into the NFL. To assume or expect him to function at a high level on offense (in any situation) at this point is unrealistic. To comment on it in the press is just suicidal.

Yeah I should have included in my post that I do agree that things don't always work out like you want them to obviously but I totally believe they spent time mapping this thing out even before he was drafted because they wanted to have a solid plan in place in case he was there.

The whole thing of playing him solely at QB was concocted just to throw other teams off the path IMO. The rookie workouts seemed kinda comical in the sense that they were running through the motions with what they told the media. Safe bet there is a complete package in place for PW and it isn't just to play QB.

White was a great QB in college and he wants to be a QB in the NFL. I think hes the type of guy to put in what he wants to get out of it and he wants to play. He already said he do anything the coaches ask of him, he'll play any role they need him to. He seems like a hard worker, good at studying the plays and theres nobody better to learn from than Chad Pennington. I do think that he will be used in specific ways this year due to his explosiveness and play making ability. I DO NOT think they drafted him just to be a wildcat player. Im excited to see what this kid brings to the table. I cant wait for the season to start.

Like someone said the other day, its like a game of poker...you aint just gonna show your cards to everyone at the table, your gonna use your pokerface. Why would the coaches give away any information regarding specific details on anything that people dont already know. Keep em in the dark. If you were gonna give away everything u might as well send your playbook to every team in the NFL.

oh I total agree with all of that. He has the athletic ability to play probably 5 or 6 different positions! So to expect them not to find a place on the field for an athlete like this is some what hard I'm sure.

Shoot, if Randle "I drop the Football" El can play in the NFL PW should be able to also.

I wouldnt be surprised if we didnt see the wildcat until a real game. PreSeason will be very base offense this yr considering we will see every team we play in the regular season and we play 3 preseason games in eleven days. I can see Henne taking most of the snaps in all but the 3rd preseason game with Penny getting the bulk of the work. I can see Penny sitting out the 4th if he's been sharp in practice, with Henne and White taking all the snaps in that last preseason game.

That's why he keeps picking up Dolphins players. Why do you think he he keeps going after former Dolphins players. Some of them are good like Wes Welker. Some of them I'm sure he picks up for informational purposes.
