Isaiah Kacyvenski, an unrestricted free-agent linebacker who has spent the past four seasons with the Seahawks, is meeting with Miami Dolphins officials today.

Kacyvenski had lengthy contract talks with the Minnesota Vikings on Friday, but left for his scheduled visit with the Dolphins yesterday and had dinner in South Florida last night.

Probably a depth guy and/or special teamer. He's a stocky guy at 6-1, 252. could be a nice wedge-buster??

That looks like Thomas "The Hitman" Hearns cutting down nets.

The "Motor City Cobra" lives on!!

He started some in '02 and would probably give us a more viable backup to Zach in the middle than Hendricks was.

ESPN Insider says:
Kacyvenski, a fourth-round pick by the Seahawks in 2000, is an overachiever who makes up for some of his mediocre athletic ability with effort. He plays with a great motor, works very hard to improve, and seems to grow more instinctive the more he plays. Finds ball carriers quickly and attacks the hole. A sound interior tackler, he isn't afraid to mix it up. Lacks ideal speed, plays with poor leverage, and is slow changing directions. Doesn't protect his body, struggling to stack and shed. Can be blown out of plays altogether by bigger linemen. Doesn't move well laterally, diminishing his play in space and in coverage. Relies on straight-line speed too much. Hasn't panned out as hoped on special teams. Even if Kacyvenski develops perfect technique and razor-sharp instincts, his upside is pretty limited.
