every year, its the same thing...the fins allow brock marion to scour the free agent market. this guy is a leader on the field and off, and a playmaker. one of my favorite dolphins, he will be missed

Cap space...

...after Kreutz.

Is it likely that the $7m signing bonus is amortised over the 5 year deal, with the early years therefore having close to vet min salaries, thus he may be costing less than $2m a year for the first two years against the cap?

Fortunately, the guys who are cooking up the deals know the cap situation and seem to be doing a great job of tackling the issues we face.

;)

It totally sucks, but the Fins are only willing to spend so much (i.e. 1mil or so) for Ss and if Brock (or Walker) can get more they are gone. Last year, we got lucky.

Brock will be sorely missed since teams throw away from Sam putting more pressure on the rest of the secondary to pick it up. And since the Ss can leave Sam alone they better be able pick some off when they are double-teaming the target WR and Brock has a done a decent job doing that

If we have to loose Marion, I would like Miami to sign Victor Green as a replacement. Although, Bishop might be cheaper. Bishop I have read is a virtual lock for Buffalo.

Has there been anything further on the guy from Arizona, Cheavous? I can't remember his name off hand. Having a brain freeze.
