so the same could happen this year but I do not think so and thats why I say that the Fins start off very strong and beat the Redskins because their defense will not let the Skins Rookie QB complete many passes or drive down the field. I say the defense dominates the game and the Dolphins win.:ninja:

Bye the way one star ratings are very welcome and do not matter to me.

Hopefully they get the OL settled and one of their QB's emerges as a legitimate starter that doesn't make a ton of mistakes. If that happens I can easily see the Dolphins finishing above .500 and making some noise in the division.

GO PHINS~!

All I have to say is "WHAT ELSE IS NEW?"

We smoke the Bears, crush the Patsies and darn near beat the Colts with Cleo. Then we loose to the Texans.

I remember talking with a guy before the Bears game (where we were 14 point underdogs) and he wanted to put his money on the Bears. I told him that he just didn't understad the fins. Not only was 14points too much but I told him I would give him the Bears with no points. Same thing the year before that in the Chargers game. Fins on the road against the best team in the league...guaranteed win! At home against the worst team...you should go out on the boat, go to the beach or do something other than watch the game ('course I still watch).

We play to our competition like no other team.

No question Miami had opportunities to win games that they should have won and we were basically a few LESS bad plays away from winning several more games. Nevermind MAKING plays, if this team could have cut down on it's mistakes offensively (which we should do this year) we would have won 3 more games just by not shooting OURSELVES in the foot. With a defense that will likely improve (or at least not drop off) and an offense that doesn't kill ITSELF and can convert a few more thrid downs, we should pull out a few more wins. Throw in an offense that is actually somewhat formidable, and it's not unrealistic to think we can contend for a playoff spot.

I'm not getting my hopes up, but if we can be smarter with the ball when throwing it, and be more creative with our guys who can make some plays for us, we can surprise some people. There are quite a few IFs. But because we were able to retain Capers and now that we have an offensive minded guy who really likes to ATTACK the defense, there is reason to be at least guardedly optimistic.

we would have won another 2 or 3 had olindo done his job the way he was expected to do it. Sad to say, but when he declined, he declined FAST. It wasnt a slow, steady decline, it was a plummet to the depths of the sea...Another funny thing is that when he starts making all his kicks again from kicking in a dome you can rest assured people on this board will be calling Cameron a bust for trading him

I understand the whole "any given sunday" bit, but when this happens on a consistant basis, it is a sign of inner team termoil and/or lack of discipline.

It wasn't just Olindo, although I do agree. " Full-of-" Mularkey & Little Nicky made some terrible calls.
I really believe we should have beaten, Buffalo, Green Bay, Houston & at least one more. But instead we did things like flea flickers on 3rd & 1 and dumb stuff like that. Oh and let's not forget thows errant throws by Joey Blue-Skies.
Yes, you can argue that everyone would be happy if we make the play, but when your team isn't that great & you're trying to win, you have to play the percentages. Risky plays at the wrong time cost us at least three games that I can recall off the top of my head.

Absolutely...It was a combination of all that - Mularky, Satan. You should add the Jets twice to that list. Olindo missed 1 field goal in the first meeting and we lost by 1 FG and on xmas day (although he made his FG that day but had he not missed so many maybe we could have trusted his range)...

We've been losing to half *** teams for the past like 6 years now and for whatever reason play good teams tough.

No idea what that's about really..

We could be above .500 this year if we can score some more touchdowns, if we do that we will make some heads turn at least. then everyone wont be bashing us like this year. and the reason why we beat teams that everyone thinks will beat us, is because were just that damn good against them, but on the other hand against teams like the Texans? i dunno what we are doing during those games. anyways.......GO PHINS!!!
