Being the eternal optimist that I am, I just want to remind everyone of something. Remember how gut wrenching those two loses at the end of last season were? I would say even worse than today's. Just remember if we win one of either of those games, jeff Ireland is still here. So maybe it'll work out for the best. I still hate that we won those games when luck came out after starting 0-7. It's all I got

nothing really to be optimistic about now.

we lost a brutal game today, and looking at the afc, it is starting to get very crowded in the playoff picture.

the pats r starting to play much better and before long may seperate themselves from the afc east teams, and that would leave us with at best a wildcard spot chance, which will go to either den/san diego as one of them, and the afc north between cin, balt and cle all look solid. also forgot kc in the afc west, they maybe 2-3, but they have already played some of there tougher games like in san fran and in denver, and vs the pats, so there sched should lighten up, and they have the head to head vs us.

I understand its only week 6, but it just looks very bleak looking at the fins situation right now.

i would say next week in chicago is a must win. I know its an nfc team, but it still counts as a loss in the standings. to worry about tiebreakers, we need to get ourselves in the situation first.

Nothing to be optimistic about. This team needs yet another rebuild which will take years. I will be dead before the Dolphins are relevant again.

We're done. We were done before the season started. We were done wen we drafted driskelhill, we were done when ross bought the team, done when we hired failbin, done when Marino retired, done when we traded marshall, done when we let bush walk, done when we started hennehill every week, done done done. Let's all pretend it's ok and nextbyear is the year. Let's start analyzing the draft and oretend were gurus and pretend we get some gem qb with our mediocre pick. Yay! Find super bowl champs 2015. #cantwait

And even those two losses dont come close to the feeling of our 1-15 season.

Our players might be speaking out against our coaches decisions for the 2nd time in 3 games, but at least thats not as bad as the time Keith Traylor flipped out on the plane ride home and told Cam Cameron he doesnt respect him.

Brutal would have been a blowout, take your idiocy to the dozen other knee jerk threads. Obviously played a lot closer game than most here could have imagined. Tough loss, but we lost to a great QB on the last play of the game. Made some great halftime adjustments and scored on three consecutive 80 yard TD drives. Defense played pretty damn well. Stuck it to Lacy despite the speculations that he was on his way to breaking out. Jarvis Landry had a very nice game in place of Gibson. His future looks bright.

Optimism: I honestly think we're a good coaching staff away from being an 11 win football team. Jarvis Landry finally showed up. We can cut Brian Hartline and get better and save money in 2015.

I think if we lose the rest of our games we can get a top NFL pick, philbin is gone, we get harbaugh and we go from there.

What's not to like

Yeah, people need to have a reality check sometimes. They lost because Aaron Rodgers - one of the best - played out of his mind on some of those plays and in the end, it came down to could the team make one more play on that 4th and 9 and Grimes messes it up badly. Tanny recovered nicely in the second half with three straight TD drives. Rodgers was just insane with his extension of plays.

Miller has shown great improvement this year. The Dline with Mitchell taking Solai's spot is really a strength. I wasn't sure about Solai's replacement but it was the right move.
Albert and James have been a good as expected. Benton has been a great upgrade over Turner.
Landry made some great plays today. I like his attack style. He has great hands.
The ST's played pretty good. 2 big plays that could have helped score points early in the game.
That is all I got.

That said, fire the HC Philbin and look for a new starting QB. RT would make a good back up.
If we could fire Ross, I would get rid of him too.

im sorry that i do not feel as optimistic as u do.

this game was there for the taking. there is no shame in losing to green bay in general, but when we were in the position we were in to win, and we didnt, im sorry, but i like many others r going to be pissed.

what should we be happy about? That this team is looking at another year of missing the playoffs, which would be the 12th in 13 seasons since 2002 where we do not make the playoffs?

this team was supposed to take the next step this year, we were supposed to improve from 8-8 last year, and who knows, maybe this team goes on a nice run and surprises us all, but to lose a game at home like we did today felt brutal. how else would u describe losing with 3 seconds left, after the defense plays its ass off the entire game?

bottom line is we had the game won and let it get away, this is the type of loss that comeback to haunt teams at years end.
