Nobody, not even Parcells expects a playoff team this year, BUT, no NFL GM will put up with this many coaching breakdowns as this staff has managed to architect so far.

Questionable personnel decisions i.e. Cobb on 3rd downs vs Jets, Wilford inactive, etc...

Questionable game planning, play calling, game management, on and on.

The latest, this staff having difficulty getting 11 on the field.

VS Cards...the decision to play so much man coverage was a huge mistake! A Dolphins coaching staff either terribly miscalculated our DB talent or was just plain stupid! The Defensive strategy is to blame for this game by far...getting the team down 14 - 0 with no O package to come back with...waiting until end of 4th Q to go no huddle...

There are just too many problems with game strategy and decision making to list.

Most people on this site would agree installing a cover 2 package and cover 3 and cover 4 package against the Cards O would have been prudent. To keep fins in the game, prevent the big plays and easy scores, keep the wr's in front of the D, and stick around until the end of the game with a chance to steal the win.

This staff with puffed chest came in and challenged Cards...thinking to play man, blitz Warner and dirty him up, disrupt the passing game, etc...all the things you do with a VETERAN team, not a rookie team.

When fins called zones, passes were caught but they were caught underneath the coverage...fins db's tackle poorly especially against these big wr but you cant coach that during the game...better to give up a 10 yard or 15 yard pass than 80 yard touchdowns.

This loss in on the coaching staff for not coming in with a game plan that gave fins a chance...Fins just did not match up well against this team and Sparanos game plan did not account for it.

Next week will be the same...Fins will be outcoached again...badly.

We will get outplayed badly. No matter who is coaching.. with the talent on this team, and an inability to execute.. we will lose badly.

The players are professionals. Most have been playing since there were 10 or younger. They know the fundamentals. They just dont have talent. time for this regime to make some significant moves, because it's obvious we just don't have the talent to make any play work.

Under Nick Saban, we were very much more competitive. This is a disgrace....
Since Chad Johnson changed his legal name, Andre Goodman should change it as well to Badman.

Ok, here it is...I just wrote this on the "Completely Outcoached.." thread:

Here's the real problem...Nepatism...

Parcells may have made a huge mistake...and Huizenga let him...in hiring another Rookie coach (read Cam Cameron) to "turn the thing around".

It should have been Huizenga that told Parcells...."I want a veteran HC...no more OTJ training with my team..."

And that my friend will be the story of this years Dolphins...Once again, we hire the wrong coach for a bunch of misfits and talent less millionaires.

What this team needed was a Parcells as a coach, not at GM. Parcells at GM almost guaranteed a rookie coach...a Parcells protege if you will.

What Huizenga needed was a monster of a HC, like either a Parcells or
Damn my memory ...what's the former Steelers coaches name? This is what happens when you get my age.

Anyway...this isnt going to be pretty this year...AND, there will be many many more questionable coaching decisions with this crew...Henning was virtually plucked out of his rocking chair retirement...he calls Offense like it was played during the Shula era...run on first down every time etc.

The Defense...well, coaches miscalculated again...which is a rookie coaching mistake...that is to fall in love with your players...and this coaching staff did and that is evident by the fact that they played tons of man coverage against the leagues most elite wr tandem. Just dumb.

Then, Henning...waits until the end of the 4th Q to go no huddle? WTF is that? Fins should have gone to no huddle in 1st Q down 14 - 0.

Another colossal mistake in coaching staff....it aint gonna change until Huizenga sells the team, period.

Mr. H, he doesnt want to be actively involved...and his poor hiring decisions are keeping this once proud franchise down...and now we are the embarrassment of the NFL.

I absolutely think we have some players with the talent, but the ones with the talent are very young football wise and many of the young ones are in thier 2nd or 3rd system in as many years. Now, we do have plenty of untalented players also, you just can't get rid of all of them in one year...

How do we know if its the coaching if we are missing skill players in key positions all over the field? For god sakes our punter is awful. So we cant even play the field position game.

I'm hesitant to blame the staff when the players are just not there.

All is well. I've been told consistantly that it is fine that we get embarassing penalties, our personel are under or mis utilized, and the play calling is predictable. I'm told over and over that it's fine for our DBs to gaze into the air in Kubrikian awe as a Brett Farve duck quacks to a wide open reciever. It's really no big deal. No sweat. We've just got to accept that this team will suck for a couple of years, and, then, maybe, we'll have a team that will contend. I've been told it by enough people that I guess I'm just going to believe it and be happy when each and every embarassing loss happens every week.

Totally agree w/ you finfreak. Someone should fill our defensive coaches in on the fact that man on man coverage with our DB's = torchings!

Perfectly said!!!....I've already posted elsewhere that this team will continue on its pitiful course until Huizenga (who may be a "nice" owner....probably too "nice" which is one of the major problems) sells the team or opens up the vault of cash & hires Bill Cowher!!!

sparano's seat is as cool as the other side of the pillow.

chill out ladies...

Never in my wildest dreams did I think fans would expect us to beat the Cardinals.

Do you all want the team to be like the Jimmy Johnson/Dave Wannstedt/Nick Saban teams were? We can overpay a bunch of veteran talent and go 9-7 every year. I guess that would make you people happy.

Should expect this reaction from a phinfreak find some ice and chill. We will improve.

Cameron was a better coach than Sparano, and he had better assistants in Bobby Jackson and Houck than Sparano has.

Parcells is out of touch and Ireland is a complete moron, and I said as much when they first came here. Huizenga is as bad of an owner as Ford.
