Fins will undoubtedly play much more zone with 2 rookie CB's bringing safety over top in Cover 2 zones.

Jets have a major strategic advantage. They can line up in base pro set and run.

They can line up in 3 or 4 wide and run.

Fins will play more 'bend but dont break' on D with occassional blitzes but only while in nickel and dime, not out of base D.

This will open up the jets running game and THIS WILL BE THE DIFFERENCE IN THE GAME.

Playing Cover 2 doesn't mean the Safeties play 30 yards off the ball. You are off base on this one.

We will use the same philosophy we have used in prior weeks. Smith has proven he doesn't need much help over that top with the safety (and when he did get help it didn't matter because they were always late getting there) so we will shade a safety to Davis' side when it is warranted.

Also, you don't just change your defensive cover philosophy in the middle of the season. These guys have had a hard enough time getting this one down so imagine the confusion there would be if we swithced.

How can you call yourself a fan man?

Smith has always been considered better in man coverage versus zone, so i think you are wrong. Jesus who start a thread to explain how your team will lose. Go to TGG and become a jets fan, with fans like this who needs enemies?

Our safties are no help anyway. If Wilson or bell are left to cover WR's we are in serious trouble as they can't even stay with TE's. We need to treat Smith and Davis te exact same way we treated Smith and Allen. We have to harass Sanchise to force him into mistakes. Buffalo's secondary isn't exactly filled with superstars and they were able to do it. The Fins should go all out vs the run and force the Jets to pass, put the game on our young DB's because that's how you beat the Jets.

We need to use the same defensive gameplan we used in the first half of the Saints game. The same game plan we stopped using once we got up 24-3. If we can get a QB like Brees as flustered as we had him then Sanchez will have lost all confidence by the end of the first quarter.

You are wrong.

Cover 2 means base 7 in the box - it doesnt matter if 15 yards or 20 yards off LOS.

Stopping the run is schemed via "in the box" alignment.

Saints had as many as 9 in the box - and they stuffed the run in the second half.

Cover 2 premise is based on pass rushing with 4 and stopping the run with 7.

Go buy 'football for dummies'. It should help.
