These were the Dolphins depending less on their exotic Wildcat formation and its emphasis on subterfuge and more on, well, sheer toughness.
These were the Dolphins, all banged up and hurt coming into the game and then dissolving into what coach Tony Sparano called a "patchwork" team as things got worse, being resolute.
Miami 24, Carolina 17.
The Dolphins needed to be nasty. Miami was without injured running back Ronnie Brown, who had been the primary operator of the Wildcat, and also was working on short-week preparation for a Thursday night road game.
So, they went marching into Bank of America Stadium with their chests out ... and emerged with a 5-5 record.

One area I am really impressed w/ is the mental toughness of your team. You guys should be proud of that.

Thank you nyjunc, i hope all these small injures or however serious they are clears up soon... Oh and best of luck against NE, you guys have a STRONG defense and despite what everyone thinks, i think Jets can take NE. Any Given Sunday.:up:
