Fins, Skins, and Seahawks strongly considering trading for 2nd overall pick

saw this on rotoworld, they say the skins are the frontrunner. my guess is that the fins end up getting screwed out of this because their going to be cheap like always! or maybe they'll be dumb and draft another lineman... :err:

For the love of God I hope that we make a plan to draft Weeden as opposed to paying a king's ransom for RGIII. I might as well get this out of the way now as well- I think that Tannehill is a project and a big risk. It's a HUGE assumption that he will develop better instincts for the position and improve on his throwing. When I see Weeden I see a natural, nearly plug and play QB. When I see Tannehill I see a big risk based on potential, I wouldn't even consider him with our 1srt rd pick.

if you are talking taking weeden in the third or lower i might be ok with that but taking him high is as risky as anything. the gfuy is no more nfl ready than most of the top qb prospects. weeden is a much bigger risk with our first round pick but hey ireland has never been smart drafting qb anyway

I wholeheartedly disagree as per Weeden. Third or lower? Good luck with that one.

Agreed about Weeden vs RGIII & Tannehill being a project.

Somewhere IMO between Tannehill & Weeden is Nick Foles. Been on the Foles bandwagon for sometime.

My current temporary ideal situation is for Miami to sign a completely healthy Peyton is healthy then draft Foles in the 3rd.

If we get 'screwed' out of the #2 pick, its probably because we aren't that interested in RGIII

yea, sit back, avoid risks, and draft the 28 year old. It sounds like this front office

We need to take risks, and get the kid who could be good. That is RG3. Not the qb who will be on the decline in 3 years.

If we do not get manning I say we give whatever it takes to get RGIII. This kid has it all, speed, arm, intelligence. He is going to be something special.

Exactly. Weeden is older than Matt Moore, no thank you.

Absolutely no way Weeden lasts until the third. John Beck went in the second, why would Weeden, who is night and day better, go later than him? He is a late first/early second round player. The Eagles took a 28 year old guard in the first last year, why wouldn't another team take a 28 year old QB...?

I agree 1,000,000,000,000,000%

I just don't get the hangup over age, especially when we're considering a 36 yo QB with serious neck problems who we'd be counting on to get 3 more years out of. If Weeden comes in at 28, hits the ground running like say, Flacco did, and we get 7 or 8 very productive years oout of him while in his 6th year, drafting and grooming his replacement, what's the problem with that????

IMO disqualifying an obviously talented and mature QB who has plenty left in the tank over age issues is being "penny wise and pound foolish." :idk:

strike out on flynn or manning, we better be paying the price for rgIII.

It was like 5 days ago where the skins front runners for payton
