Dolphins coach Cam Cameron says the current focus is on getting quarterback Daunte Culpepper's knee healthy enough to revive his career. But make no mistake, Miami's continued interest in a trade for Kansas City quarterback Trent Green -- and its milder interest in David Carr -- is proof Cameron isn't completely sold on Culpepper. The Dolphins also could trade up in the draft to take Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn.

Sorry but you just cant put all your eggs in the DC basket. That would be pretty stupid. More than that I would say its proof in the trust he has in Lemon to run the team if DC cant do it. That is what it says to me more.

the dolphins need to draft a qb. get someone they wanted and drafted. Be it Quinn or Stanton its whatever, but i would much rather see one of them instead of green. I'd take carr if it wasn't carr money he was seeking.

I think DC days are numbered and even more so when we sign TG or DC. Does anyone know how Randy felt about Daunte coming to the fins...It could have just been a stubborn Terry move.

Daunte Culpepper is a big question mark, because it is our most important position it makes it a huge question mark. It seems as though a dark cloud has hung over the Miami Dolphins quarterback position since Marino left.
Daunte may come back but the odds are getting longer and longer. I have to feel that most people, or at least a lot of people would love to see DC make a great comeback. However, the Dolphins can no longer take the quarterback position for granite and that we can pickup a quarterback any olewhere. I look for serious efforts at the quarterback position in the future from Mueller and Cameron.

Well, hopefully we'll find something out fairly soon. Doesn't QB school start this week?

Even if Culpepper makes is back, he's gonna have a hell of a time behind the Phins offensive line. That would probably lead to a sub-par season, and people will be calling for his head.

I'd be shocked if you guys don't go heavy O-line in the draft. Even if a QB slips too you the guy won't have as much of an impact if he's running for his life half the time.

Or John Beck in the 3rd round. :D

If DC comes back that still leaves questions as far as to how much of a pounding will his knee take and will they protect it with a knee brace like Marino's?
If they go the knee brace rout that will be sure to reduce his mobility.

I think the first few games he played before the pats game he didn't have a knee brace. As the surgeon said, if he did it a thousand times he couldn't have done the surgery any better than he did.
I wonder why no reporters have tracked down Daunte to see what he thinks of all this goin on.... goin after Trent Green, possibly drafting Quinn etc. I guess he'll be asked soon enough if QB mini-camp starts soon?

Culpepper is a selfish ****** who is easily the most overrated NFL player to go to the pro-bowl in recent memory. Your football IQ in the single digits if you think otherwise.

Whoever made that thread on here a while back referring to the amount of time C-pep held onto the ball, and that the majority of the problem was the offensive line. Yeah, that may have been the single most skewed, uninformed tripe I've ever read on here. Uninformed 12 year olds with too much time on their hands.

What are you saying was skewed and hwo? You didnt have to read the post, all you had to do was watch the games to see DC held the ball for too long, made some bad decisions, and the o-line couldnt block for **** during those 4 games. They are both to blame...I'll also say that I do not see DC being on this team come opening day. Regardless if he is capable mentally, or not, I do not think the knee will permit him to get on the field and even if it is, I think it will take him to long to get up to par in training camp...Also, remember there were somne reports in training camp that JH was doing better than DC. There was also one report that said JH was beating DC in training camp as well...I would love to see DC succeed and win tons of games for us, I just do not see it happening though
