Saints have 5 players injured. 3 did not participate in Thursday practice, Fujita a LB and their CB. 2 had limited practice, their other CB.

Saints coming off tough emotionally charged game with Giants.

Facing Falcons, a conference opponent next week.

I just dont think Saints will be juiced enough to tackle on Sunday.

Looking ahead a little and taking a breather.

Thoughts?

BTW...Fins report no injuries!

I've definitely thought about this a lot over the last week and completely agree. But I've been too lazy to start a thread about it.

I think we could steal one here guys. There is no denying the talent and superb coaching the Saints have, but they're due for a loss and they're definitely at least PEAKING, if not looking ahead to their division game with Matty Ice and da Dirty Birds.

I feel a win coming this week, boys and girls. Who's with me?!?!?!? Go PHINS!!!!!!!!!!

I want a win so bad but I am pushing the kool-aid pitcher away for now. Let's see what Henne can do this week and just push for him to keep maturing. If we lose it is against a great offense, of which, we have struggled to slow down opposing passing schemes. I won't be devastated.

it will also be 90 and humid on sunday....they are use to the 72 and AC if we keep them on the field in the south florida sunshine we can easily ware them out and they wont be able to stop anything in the second half.

this is the definition of a trap game...big game last week, big divisional game next week and this week a very physical team in hot and humid conditions...GAME ON

Plus we've had a bye week for extra gameplanning.

Everything seems in line for an upset :D

I have to respectfully disagree with the temperature debate.....the Saints practice and held all of the camps in sunny, hot, humid New Orleans. These guys are used to the brutal dogdays of summer. Granted they have an indoor facilty available too, but Payton kept them outside PLENTY.

I don't think it's the same thing. This game counts. It's in front of an audience. It's televised. The opponent is a team they see once every 5 years plus.

I think weather plays a more important role as the winter approaches than it does now. granted.. I've been to Phins games in December and have been surprised by the humidity with the ocran being so close.

The Saints will be ready to play. Are the ripe for an upset. Sure they... every week.. It's upto us to play our gameplan and beat them. I don't think we're as bad as our record suggests.. my only concern is really play calling. Henne's bomb to Ginn should give some confidence in the Henning to air it out a little and give some relief in the box to run the ball effectively.

On a side note. Passing out of the wildcat last week gives the Saints something else to prepare for. I doubt we'll see it again this week.. maybe with White running the package.. but I think it will assist us in keeping their defense honest and allowing us to dictate at the line of scrimmage while we're on offense.

In defense.. if we don't get pressure.. we have no shot.

I personally dont think weather plays into anything as far as heat is concerned.....until you run into our running game.

Just ask Jenkins and co.

First series huffin and puffin with hands on hips....

dark uni's....

Brees better score 7 points every time cus it can be brutal down there on that field at 4pm.

still disagree. They max protect alot. We would just end up taking guys out of the play by doing that. Brees steps up and delivers with max protect.

I say play the lanes watch draw. If cam wake is in....well just let him do his thing. But blitzing for the sake of that is all we can do? nah.
