20 years ago this xmas I was 8 years old. I opened a present under the tree from My dad. I was still living in Sarasota, FL at the time. It was two tickets to the Fins Lions game that night. We have not been to a regular season game since.
I want to return the favor 20 years later this Xmas with 2 tickets to Fins Jets Dec 28th.
A few questions: What is the best section to sit in to have the best view of the game? Where should I look to buy tickets? I really don't care how much I have to spend I want to have a great time with my Pops. That said, I don't want to shell out 200+ per ticket or anything if possible I am open to all suggestions.
Also, good places to park/tailgate things to do before game. We will likely drive down leaving Sarasota. FL early Sunday and try to arrive around 9 30 am or so and enjoy some cold beverages before the game.

Thanks

Great story man.

Would defenitly suggest sitting on the home side. Even though its December, don't want the sun in the eyes.

Any seat at Joe Robbie is a good seat.

$100 gets you nice upper level sideline seats.

My family has had University of Miami season tickets for 17 years (moved them over to new stadium) in section 445 (Home Sideline around the 15 yard line).

Great seats.

I see Stubhub Section 445 Row 5 for $107 a piece. (15 yard line)

Section 441 Row 12 $117 a piece (around the 40 yard line)

I would suggest getting tickets ASAP as the price will only increase if the Fins are in the playoff run.

Parking is easy at the stadium. If you don't buy parking pass for stadium lot, you will park in the 'General Parking' (usully $30 cash) which is a HUGE field across the street from the stadium. Everyone tailgates so its lots of fun.

Fan Zone is located on home side outside stadium as well.

Stadium is out in the middle of no where so don't count on doing 'extras' apart from tailgate and fan zone if you arrive early.

Depends on what you consider good seats. Some people like endzone seats. Some like the sidelines. Some prefer lower level and some prefer upper level.
I was always a fan of sideline, home side and upper level. At least 200 and up. 100 level was always to low for me.

Right now tickets are available and venue tickets are at face value. The problem with the venue tickets is that if you need more than one seat together you probably sit higher up - at least upper level sideline homeside. (441,442,443). Then you have the resale tickets which you pay a little (or a lot more) for. The best place is ticketmaster. It is the official NFL TM+ side and shows you resale and venue tickets. The venue tickets are the blue dots. Lower level on the home side are only available through resale and the prices are a lot of times based on market prices.
Let me give you an example: I have 5 different tickets in 2 different sections. One of the sections is 441 Row 13. I usually give those seats to a friend of mine. He pays face value for them ($70). Initially he wanted to join in the season ticket business but his work schedule made him miss a couple of games So I kept the original 3 tickets in 441 and moved the other two to the club level.
The games he could not attempt I put the tickets up for sale through the Miami Dolphins membership ticket site (manage your tickets) at face value and clicked on the box market value. One game it was sold at face value as there were quite a few seats available and the Thursday night game they were sold at $130 without my input.

I don't know if he can attend the game on Dec 28 or not. I probably will find out in a couple weeks. But if we win our next two games that ticket could become a hot item very fast. If you want to go for sure now is the time to buy. If we win on Sunday ticket sale will pull up a little with Baltimore going faster, then Jets and then the Vikes. That means outside the venue tickets prices will increase most likely.
I don't have to tell that, if we win the next two Baltimore, will sell out in the week leading up to the game and the Jets tickets will become extremely hot.

The only offer I could make to FHers is that if my friend cannot make it to the Dec 28 game that I will sell the tickets to any of you at face value regardless of what the resale value would be. In case we are in AFC East contention still and anybody would like to come on short notice. But I won't be sure until at least the Baltimore game. So I would not count on it.

What section do you prefer? Sideline? Endzone? Upper level, lower level?

BTW, you have an excellent view from every seat. It is a very compact stadium for a 76,000 people capacity.

PS: For that Jets game I will make an open invitation to any FHer from out of town who will attend the game to tailgate with us.

Sideline for sure..don't know about upper or lower level.
I think I will only go if we are in contention. So, I may have to bite the bullet and pay a little more and wait and see..

Fair enough. And to be honest. You may get lucky. South Florida fans are very fickle. We got burned to often over the years especially last year. Outside season ticket holder it could happen that a lot of people may wait for the New England game. I doubt that though.

Does that go for the Ravens game as well? My son (Ravens fan :( and I are flying down from Maryland on the Saturday before the game and are looking for somewhere to tailgate. I was thinking about taking a cab to the stadium because I didn't buy a parking pass, but may just go to the general parking area, now that I know there is one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Some of the 'Football' Hotels will have sponsored tail gates.

Not sure what hotel you are staying at but for example Shula's Hotel (Don Shulas yes....) right in Miami Lakes about 15 minute drive from stadium has a entire 'Game Day' package which includes tail gate, transportation, tickets, breakfast, etc...
