Fins to honor 09 Gators title team?

its a way to sell out the game and errr test the waters if they were to trade for tbone..
 
Miami "fans"? Who are those? The people that aren't showing up to the games? lol. Please.

I have absolutely no idea why the Dolphins are celebrating a college football team, though. Miami would make much more sense but I can understand not wanting to bring prostitutes on the field during a Dolphins game

Same fans as Dolphin fans for the most part...same ones who are at the beach on Sunday afternoons.

Is anyone on this forum actually from Miami? Of course this is a big deal. It's just ****ing stupid. Like incomprehensibly stupid. So offbase and detached from what the Miami Dolphins should be about that it scares you to think the brainiacs coming up with this idea are associated with your team.
 
Being a Canes fan I was also pissed to hear that Dan Marino worked out with some of the FSU qb's back in the day...What about them Canes boy?

People just don't get it man. And the people that don't get it....don't get that they don't get it. You're goon to honor a chief in-state rival in the same stadium you lease to the local hometown favorite. Complete slap in the face. I know a lot of people on the board don't care about the 'Canes and that's fine. No big deal. But the Dolphins already struggle to sell tickets. Now you're rubbing this Gator **** in the faces of a lot of Dolphin fans who love the 'Canes just as much. A lot of 'Cane fans will boycott this game. My ticket is up for sale. No interest in that crap.

You want to honor a team, honor your LOCAL 2001 Miami Hurricanes team. It's the 10 year anniversary of the greatest college football team in the history of ever. Honor you LOCAL 1991 Miami Hurricanes. It's their 20th anniversary. You'll sell more seats that way.

Need I remind many of you that this is a BUSINESS first.
 
Two things are wrong with this.
1. Honoring the Gators on the Canes' home field.
2. Honoring Tebow the day we play his current NFL team.

I have yet to be critical of Ross for anything he's done so far. This is officially the first. He is alienating a lot of dolphin fans by doing this. As mentioned in an article I read, why not honor the 10 year reunion of the Canes' 2001 Championship team?? One of those guys is actually on our team (Vernon).

They'll get 100 extra gator fans to show up and lose thousands of Cane fans (me) who HATE the fricking Gators and Tebow.
 
Can we really be surprised here though? The Dolphins can't even do what's good for the Dolphins. How can we expect them to do what's right for the fans and the CITY of Miami.
 
Complete ****ing joke is what it is. How the **** did Ross become a billionaire. His decision making as the owner of the Dolphins has been a complete disaster. Honoring a rival of the hometown favorite, who just so happens to play in the stadium. They couldn't honor the 10th anniversary of the greatest college football team ever assembled? Ross be trollin'. No other way to explain it.
 
I dont see why this is a big deal, gators are a florida team, thats why they are being honored by the miami dolphins. They are miamis rival yea but they are a respected team within the ncaa and miami dolphins, hell we just drafted our 1st round center from them. Put your ego aside man and go to the damn game and turn your head around for 5 minutes.
