Fins to honor 09 Gators title team?

On second thought I am actually looking forward to the Gator thing.

You think our fans booing Henne was bad?

Wait till ESPN shows the introduction of this group. The WHOLE stadium full of Canes fans will be booing Meyer and Tebow ( Pouncy will get a break)

I'll bet coach Golden has the whole team there and a CANES rally breaks out.

You think Jacksonville or Tampa Bay would honor the CANES ?

Honor the last UM champions when AJ and Houston come to town.

After all it IS our home field.

None of that will happen. Few boos, sure. But if I had to guess out of the first eight games of the season, this one will have the poorest attendance if this goes thru.

None of this matters to me since I don't live in FL or care about UF or the U. But since the Hurricanes also play at Sun Life Stadium, to honor the other college football team in FL on the Hurricanes home field doesn't seem logical to me. Especially if Tebow is coming out at halftime to accept an award or do anything. Why would Dolphins fans give a damn about what he/the Gators accomplished in college?
 
My question is too what extent will Steven Ross go to fill seats. Whats next? A guest general manager every week ala WWE? Perhaps theme day at Sunlife Stadium.....everyone come out as your favorite Jabber Jaw character. This makes no sense, is offensive on a few levels and an outright shameless publicity ploy. Maybe they will play stadium wide twister at halftime, or bingo for ownership stake. Geez
 
Why is this happening? Why at Sun Life Stadium? The only reason I can come up with is a publicity stunt. Tebow is popular in Florida, and since that team won only 3 years ago, it is somewhat fresh. It's just a publicity stunt and nothing more. When you start to actually look at where it is being held, and all the other "real" factors that play into it, it just doesn't make any sense. Publicity stunt. That's it.
 
Great news for me considering I am a Gators fan, but as a Phins fan its just another way for the team to sell more tickets....Just get over it.

you obviously have no idea what a bitter rivalry the Gators and Canes have. And the last thing you should want are the disgusting and sub-human Gator fans in our stadium.

Could you imagine Jacksonville or Tampa Bay honoring the Canes ?

It is OUR home field you know.
 
As a Gator grad that still lives in Gainesville I can't get over what a poor idea this is.

From what I understand is that the Hurricanes declined a similar proposal to honor the 10th anniversary of UM's latest national championship during a Dolphins game this season. So considering, it could be worse.
 
Honoring the 3d string QB of the opponent is beyond ridiculous. i have had enough of Ross. He is clueless to what he is doing to alienate the fan base. I am no Canes fan but I understand their thoughts of this happening on their home field.
