You would be accurate with this comparison to a degree. But the Gators fan base is FAR worse.

That's an incredible statement when you think about it.
 
I honestly am stuck in the middle of this debate, on the one hand I think its not such a big deal on the other hand it makes me wonder if the powers to be really think every decision through.

If this was truly a business decision just how many extra seats do they really think they are going to sell because they are honoring the Gators. 100? 1000? And will they even be able to break even after having to fly 20+ people and pay for lodging and expenses.

It is what it is, Ross has a large fan base to appeal too, Gator fans, Cain fans, State fans, its a smart business move. Florida is the last team to bring a championship back to the state of Florida so hate them or not (personally I am Hurricanes fan as well and Florida and Florida State can play hid the donkey) they get the lime light.

All I can say is at some point it would be nice to be honoring the Cains again.

While I admit Miami has more to moan about with the Gators being celebrated in their back yard, this Georgia graduate is non too happy about the Dolphins celebrating the Gators.

Georgia has legitimate gripes with these clowns as well. "Neutral field" in Jacksonville. What a joke. Just another way for the Gators to add another home game to their schedule. Georgia Athletic Department should be doing everything they can to get alternating home field advantage. Georgia fans might travel well to that game, but it's not the same as playing between the hedges at Sanford.
 
Kind of like the Falcons celebrating Auburn National Championship and honoring Cam Newton when you play Carolina.

Bulldog fans would go nuts.
