I did not attend the game on Monday night; however, I was quite dismayed to hear in the background during the telecast that that horrendous song from Jimmy Buffet played after every score. You have got to be kidding me, right? For a "musician" such as Jimmy Buffet, who has certainly earned his due, to re-lyric a song and try to pass it off like this is horrendous. He couldn't...I don't know...write something new? I mean seriously, fins to the left..fins to the right.....are you F'ing kidding me? And we have to listen to that repeatedly??!! I thought the, "That's another Miami Dolphins First Down....whoooah!!" was annoying as hell, but even just hearing that ridiculous song on the TV pissed me off. There is some solace in the fact that, at least during the broadcast, I didn't hear that T-Pain-in-my-A#$ song, but I'm sure that is forthcoming as well.

I know people might not like the old song (I DO!!) but isnt there something to be said for tradition? I have an idea, why don't the Cubs get The Game or Jay-Z to rewrite "Take Me Out To The Ballgame", and they can play that during the seventh inning stretch.

Seriously???...You must be a pretty unhappy person if that was irritating you to the point of posting on our forum--I'd hate to see you behind the wheel of a car...

I'm not completely against modernizing some of our traditions, but my God why does it have to be Jimmy Buffet. I hate that man's music more than just about anyone's.

You're joking right? This forum has been inundated with ridiculous "What if.." posts and "Do you think the fins will pick up this undrafted punter from South Dakota" posts for the last 6 months. It has been almost unreadable, but when I make a comment directly related to a game and the experience of being at the game, you're going to pass judgement on me? Seriously? My post was not a hate-filled, rant spewing, vile dissertation; I made an observation and expressed my disdain.....if you don't like it, feel free to move along and not read it. OUR Forum....man, that's good comedy. Oooh, can I join your club??

I was at the game. The T-Pain song got a negative response with 2 people standing up dancing, no one singing, no one clapping, but plenty of boo's. Its a nice song to listen to, but its not something you can sing and follow along.

The Buffett song got a positive response on the most part and a lot of people did the Fins to the Left, Fins to the right, and it was pretty cool. It could become a good tradition.

The Fins Up during the opening kickoff is something else though. I didn't like that idea. But I have to give the Buffett song a thumbs up.

IMHO, Buffett song after FG's, and the ORIGINAL fights song after TD's

I heard the buffet song on the tv after every score, It really sucked Fins to left ,Fins to the right, its the only game in town! Come on,thats embarassing . I thought I'd never say this but bring back the original ( with the Banjo's and all).

You will never EVER see me doing that stupid dance. Btw im right above the Don Shula sign row 2 :p

It sucks. It really grated on me during the game. It may seem trivial but it really makes for a pretty miserable game experience. I'm hoping it's gone before the regular season because it actually will affect my decision to go to games. I like music. I appreciate music. I listen to music. I don't want to listen to that ****. You can enjoy the old fight song ironically because it's so hilariously cheesy and nostalgic. This new **** just sucks.

The songs are an embaressment... both of them. And I'm a Buffett fan and I think this. I didn't think it was possible to make the orginal song look cool, but these two disasters have managed to do just that.

It seems that no matter what Dolphins forum I read- this one, the Miami Herald message board, the Sentinel board- EVERYONE seems to be in agreement that these songs are just awful. If this many people are pissed off, we should all let the Dolphins know... enough negative backlash might get them to think twice. I doubt it, but you never know.

The old one was fun to listen to and I didnt mind it at all. Buffet made the worst fight song ever(assuming its a fight song). Bring back the old one, my father, who has been a dolphin fan since 1970, is going to be really disapointed if they stop playing it. haha

The lameness of the new Miami Dolphins fight songs is what's going to unite the world. All the different tastes and perspective across the globe, yet I think the one irrefutably, universal thing is that these songs absolutely blow.

I don't get the disgust with the Buffett song. I'm not even a Buffett fan. I don't particularly like the song, but I don't hate it, it's just a song... Since when did football music have to be up for a Grammy? And on top of that, it's Jimmy Buffett. Again, I'm not a fan, but he's still a pretty iconic figure here in Florida so I figured it'd be received a bit better. The song at worst is no worse than the old fight song.

Now, if you were talking about T-Pain's song, I'd understand. I didn't know it was possible to make the fight song any goofier than it already was, but he pulled it off.

I haven't been listening to QAM or 790 much recently, as I can't stream at work... have fans been calling the talk shows to voice displeasure at all?
