I've got old school analog basic cable, and can't get Thursday night's game. The NFL used to allow cable-only games to be broadcast locally, but I don't know if they still do this.

Anyone know if the game will be on local broadcast TV?

I don't think it will. I believe it will only be airing on NFL Network. I'm glad I'm going to be there.

The Thursday night NFL games on NFL network are broadcast locally on non-cable networks that anyone can get free.

The local stations in South Florida and Charlotte areas will be allowed to broadcast it.

Thanks for the quick replies. WVdolphan, do you know what local station it'll be on?

100% sure it will be on CW and in HD. check your tvguide you'll see it there...

Okay, confirmed, it will be on broadcast TV here in South Florida. UHF Channel 39 (Comcast Channel 11, for those with basic cable).

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction to find it.

If Pat White is our starter be prepared for another 1-15 season. Pat White is a talented player not a QB. His comp.% would rival the horrendus numbers Vick posted before prison.

Yo Rex, you're still a Jet. Back away from the hot dog and wake up.

are u guys sure? i thought it was strictly nfl network??

I guess the 100% positive part didn't work for you, but i'll say it again, I am 1 million percent positive,

UHF Channel 39
Comcast 11
Comcast 39.1 HD

IF it is not on the CW,

I will personally take you out to a steakhouse to watch the next game, and give you $100 USD on top of that. And a massage from my wife, naked.

Does this make you feel more certain?

It will be available only on NFLNetwork for everyone except the two markets of the teams that which are playing...

As an example, our 2 monday night games on ESPN I watched Simulcasted on CW HD 39.1 because I don't have ESPN HD.

Simply put, except for non-sellout blackouts, every NFL game has to be broadcast, from beginning to end, in the teams' local markets. Period. This started as the Heidi Rule: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heidi_Game - Many belated thanks to the Jets for losing that game. :lol2:

My concern was that the "broadcast" part was removed when the NFL got their own cable network, I'm pleased to see that the rule is still in effect. BTW, I was watching Seinfeld on CW last night, and they were advertising the Dolphins' game. :hi5:
