What a joke the Pro Bowl now is. Seven Jests named when a case can be made for Jenkins, and Jones for sure and possible Washington at best in comparison to others playing their positions. I fear it's a harbinger of the obstacles we're going to encounter in the Jersey showdown.

Going back to the Tuck Rule, there isn't much I'd put past the NFL and Goodell if it helps follow their script for a desired outcome. There's nothing they'd like more than to extend the story line of Glamor Girl Bretta's resurrection wearing puke green or the revenues generated from a team being pumped up by 5 newspapers in the biggest media center. Pennington coming home to face the team that jettisoned him (pardon the pun) makes for great drama, but beyond this game, I don't see it being in the league's selfish interest to continue this storyline as compared to the one associated with the Drama Queen's last gasp and other aging marquee hired guns.

The Pro Bowl BS was a travesty and has only heightened the fears I've had about questionable one-sided calls against us to come. I don't think the league actually fixes games,(but then again I didn't think the NBA did either), but do believe there's a fine line between that and the discretionary manipulation they empower their officials to employ down to that ridiculous Pittsburgh TD reversal this weekend.

IMO, we had better play lights out because the Jests will be getting all the officiating help.. or at least the critical calls - even if the tape asserts otherwise.

Inside sources have reported that Goodell has laid down the law. Upon review of any controversial calls during the Jets/Dolphins games all tapes presented to the NFL for subsequent review of officiating should be collected and destroyed before any irreparable harm can be done to the organization. :(

Good thread, u make some pretty good points. But i have a gut feeling we will win that game and be pretty dominant in doing so..... Just a gut feeling!!! Go phins!!!

I totally agree. Thw whole NFL and tv execs have a man crush on Farve. I can see evry close call going to the Jets. This is my biggest fear of this game.

it wouldn't surprise me a bit if we do end up playing against the Jets AND the refs in that game...i just hope we win...and i also hope we beat the Chiefs coming up...

first things first in KC

but yea i hope its not miami vs the entire nfl in that game. From a buisness point of view the Jets winning would be better for the nfl but i really hope they arent that desperate for money.

I don't think it will be so.. it is not us against the whole wolrd or vs the Jets and the Refs.. the Pro Bowl has been a voting for the popular players ever since but you can't say that the NFL wants to screw us.. the Refs will be neutral, remember if the game is flexed they will blow the calls in front of the whole US.. this could not be swept under the rug..
and at first we got to beat the Chiefs..

and also the final play of the 49ers should have never happened because the play clock ran out.. we were lucky on that one so you can't say that they really want to screw us

It sure seemed like they wanted to screw us against SF. Kneeing penalties for phantom knees and what not. Kraft wants Goodell to get the Patriots to the playoffs by any means. To them we're expendable.

Never fear. You'll see worse officiating in this upcoming KC game than you will against the Jets. It's a shame the league is so corrupt. Fortunately for us they can't be too blatant about their agenda otherwise there would be an investigation so lets just hope we can beat our opponent + the 12th and 13th man(refs)

My God you are such a whiner. The Jets STILL always get screwed by bad calls and no team has been screwed more over the years but you are worried aboutt he league giving us a call? Did you complain all those years under Shula when the dolphins got every break possible from the officials?

The only Jet who didn't deserve to be named to the PB was Favre but we understand why he got in. Fopr the Dolphins it's a joke that Ronnie Brown made it, are you complaining about that?

If you sre worried about bad callas going against you crack out a tape of our game against Denver and our game against SF and then you'll feel confident that if anything the officials will be on your side like they always have been in the past.

I love how the dolphin fans who have been talking tough all year(just like they had the last decade) are already preparing their excuses:lol:

Did you send Losman and Jauron a thank you letter/card for that gift you got last weekend?

We'll get right on that. Did you send us a thank you lpetter for Chad?

we have all thanked you many times. though i think it would be hilarious if tons of us dolphins fans sent the jets xmas cards with a thank you for pennington inside

That would be funny. I never wanted to get Favre.

Nyjunc. Do you watch jets extra point? If you do, what do you think of Ray Lucas? I watched the show last night and all he did was bad mouth players from all different teams. I thought it was funny comming from him, he never amounted to anything special.
