I guess they get alot of dumb people in there

Good news if true. Start high and work from there. Sure we won't get that 3rd rounder in the end, but it is better to request a 3rd and work down to a 5th then to request a 5th and have them widdle it down to a 6th or 7th.

Ha, how sweet would that be, a 3rd? I say 4th at the VERY best.....

Crowder reminds me of Bryan Cox in that shot.

Get that late 4th and we'll recoup that pick for Manny Wright basically. We have plenty of RBs. Even when Ricky is suspended we still have Morris, Minor, and if we need Kay-Jay.

Did we learn from Cleveland last year with that Johnson from Miami. We wanted him, they wanted a third, they wouldn't take less then a third. He was released during the year, and is fighting to play in the NFL with the Cardinals I believe. Lamar Gordon is the odd man out, he doesnt play Special Teams like Morris and Minor, and has one year remaining on his deal, if we could get a 6, why not take it. I am very good at negotiating, there are times you can, times you shouldn't. This is a time you shouldn't. There are plenty of backs out there that can be had for Free, let's take what we can get.

I thought I read some where that the team was willing to take a 6th rd pick for him, I can't recall the site.

Obviously not too good at negotiating. I am not saying what I think is or isn't acceptable.

But any true negotiator will not take the best offer. They will be stubborn and they will get what they feel to be acceptable. If u are offered less u don't take it.

why?

Simple, you get known as soft and a push over and people know that eventually you will back down and take less then what you want.

This is why Saban never traded down to pick up an additional 4th which had been reported during the draft. Because it was not acceptable to get just a 4th. Even though we still would have gotten Brown plus a pick.

I say we take their fourth round pick for Gordon so long as part of the agreement is that they take Feeley back with him. I hate to dog the guy because I think he has a great arm, but overall we overpaid for him and obviously is not what they thought he would be. I'll take Sage and Brock as the clipboard holders for this year.
FINS 24 Yuccaneers 7...........

Hell, I would be happy with a 4th-5th round pick for him. I believe he will be cut if not and we could at least get something back for our 3rd round investment last year.

the eagles have 2 fourth rd picks. i would expect one of these. also, don't be surprised to see something like gordon and thompson/gilmore for a 3rd. the eagles will probably win as many games as anyone in the league this year and therefore be picking at the bottom of each round, essentially making that 3rd round pick an early 4th rd pick.

I don't understand how a late 3rd is an early 4th. If you pick in the 3rd round, it's a 3rd. That's like saying our pick in the 7th was really more of a late 6th. You should be an agent lol.

A 4th sounds right. Not because I think that's what Gordon is worth to us, but that's what he is probably worth to the Eagles. Teams overpay when they're in a position of need. Kind of like the 3rd that brought Gordon here in the 1st place.

Well if its a late 4th you can consider it an early 5th, i guess, but a late third cant really be considered an early 4th IMO because its either a first or a second day pick.

if the dolphins are offered a 4th for gordon they should TAKE IT, i don't see him doing anything to better his stock anytime soon...especially to a team that isn't in the AFC
