Fins will run Read Option+Motion on majority of offensive snaps vs Pat's; Here's why:

Tannehill really screwed up that last play where Moreno bulldozed that poor man for a TD. It would've been an easy stroll into the endzone if he kept the ball and went right. The DE crashed onto the RB and he completely blew the read. If it were anyone but Moreno, they would've been blown up like a fertilizer plant and probably would have turned the ball over again.

Tannehill had a terrible game yesterday. It's amazing that Bill Lazor's playbook made up for it.

Yeah, was thinking the same thing on that play. He's still learning it, apparently. He wasn't perfect with it today, but I don't see why he can't be soon. Once RT has it nailed, watch out.

Is it possible that ones opposing defenses figure it out that Lazor has alternatives in place. Love it; IZR and OZR. I guess it opens up RT to pass also; but that wasn't covered in this video.

Sure. Technically, you could just run the IZR set all day. It all depends on having a smart RB with excellent vision; a decisive, smart QB; and a smart, athletic O-line. You just run the ball away from wherever the defense commits. They can't defend the entire field. They'd have to bring corners around to take away the QB option, and when they happens (Russell Wilson play, shown above) you can just dink it off to a receiver. Safeties playing tight coverage while corners contain the run? Take the top off with Mike Wallace.

The offense works on on-the-fly recognition. So, naturally, it's sort of a make or break thing. And if the O-line can't block anyone, forget about it. But the o-line doesn't have to pave a path, they just have to seal defenders away. So it's sort of like pass-blocking on the move. Maybe that's why we went with Juwaun James with the first pick. He's long and athletic, so he's great at maintaining a block even if he isn't going to drive them 10 yards off the ball.

The o-line did a marvelous job yesterday. Did you see Shelley Smith? That guy looked like a pro bowler out there.

This is what that play was supposed to look like:
