Finsradio Dumps On Ted Ginn

No one has even heard of finsradio either. If your ratings where that great, you wouldn't need to spam a popular Finz message board to attempt to attract listeners. Fail.

Why because I'm taking the opposite point of view than anyone else? I already wrote my opinions in my blog that I will not post the address to here so it's nothing out of the norm. I'm not looking for ratings, I'm simply putting out my subject matter for tonight which I do everytime on this forum so that Finheaven readers can listen in.

If you do, great, if you don't, that's cool too. I don't get paid to do the show, don't earn ad money, I even spend more time pimping other sites instead of mentioning my own which I rarely do. So I have ZERO to gain by ratings increases because frankly, they amount to NOTHING.

i don't understand all the hate. either listen, or don't. it's not that hard. stop bashing someone for their opinion. try calling in and having an intellectual debate about it...jesus.

Guys, let's bash on a 3 year player who is still raw but has shown extreme flashes of talent and just had probably the best game of his career, what a perfect time to bash him! Let's not wait until perhaps his 3'rd actual year until deciding on him?

Just so you know, MANY MANY great receivers don't learn the NFL game until PAST their 3'rd year. It takes time..... If you want me to bring up the stats, I gladly will. Many of the BEST RECEIVERS IN THE GAME RIGHT NOW did not show anything until a few years into their career... Ginn is still very young and very raw, and has shown flashes of being a big-time playmaker...

????????????????/

I don't buy that theory. The only reason a player may take longer to shine is because he has someone ahead of him on depth chart and isn't getting playing time. Otherwise most good receivers are showing what they can do within first couple of years.

It's wrong to rip Ginn because he pretty much single handedly won a huge game for us on Sunday. I think that should earn him a one week respite. The topic seems poorly timed if you ask me and seems to only have been to chosen to get a reaction out of people.
BINGO

I have no problem with saying that you don't think Ginn is good because that case can easily be made but to start a thread saying that you are going to "dump" on Ginn makes it sound like you are simply going to trash him instead of making an actual argument.

This is just a timing thing, obviously Ginn thus far has busted as a wideout but as a KR he has excelled in one game. It's a good time to bash on him as it will make all of his blind supporters mad.

First of all for all those of you who think that you know me...maybe you should realize that most of my "radio shows" and the articles I write for my Phins website are 98% of the time DEAD ON.

Second, for those of you griping about the show topic, don't judge something you haven't bothered to listen to. Considering the array of guest that we have had on our show, I would say it is done with taste and complete professionalism.

As for tonights topic, o.k. I may be a little harsh in my title here in regards to "dumping" on Ted Ginn, but it got you talking didn't it? Of course it did. Which is why tonight I will further explain myself as to why I don't by the hype. I'm hardly going to go off and say Ginn sucked on Sunday, but I will defend my position on the situation. However, it does seem that quite a few of you are not willing to defend yours.

It's funny how many people will open their mouths to defend something on a forum but won't open their mouths in the face of a real debate verbally. Prove your point, show up and let us know...but what your language as our show is geared towards both adult and young adults...plus I don't like some of our guests who listen in thinking that our show is trash.

Either way, it doesn't matter. I'm not a guy who will say something and not defend my reasons. I may take the opposing view for the sake of making a debate, but I don't hide behind unemotional words on a forum.

For those of you who have listened to our shows on Tuesdays, I know the response has been pretty good so maybe you can shed some light on what they can expect.

Brian

I view this in the same light as when a mass shooting happens and the NRA hold a meeting there to defend their right to bare arms. Taking a controversial subject and fuelling the fire for ratings and to hype oneselve. Not actually there to have an open debate for intellects to reflect on but to have the rejects of society to rely on "your mama's so fat" as a defense to "oh ya".

Congrats on trying to be a poor man's Rush Limbaugh, who cares what comes out of your mouth as long as people will listen.

I don't know why i keep defending the TS, i don't even know him, but anyway...

I understand why he's doing it, I just wonder if he's so bad at hosting radio that this is the only way he can get callers and listeners. Some media get a tonne of credit because they are thought provoking, intelligent and just damn entertaining but then some need "shock" promotion to induce conversation because their not intelligent enough or entertaining enough to hold an audience.

Well, now all of you "haters" can feel free to listen to it on the archives and then actually make a resounding opinion of your own about the show. The fact is that it was what it was supposed to be...a debate. I don't need your numbers because I don't make any money doing it...I'm a fan just like the rest of you who happens to be fortunate enough to have a medium to present my opinions.

For those of you thinking that it's a shock show...well you would be wrong by a very large amount but of course it's easier to bad mouth something you've never listened to. The truth is it's not just my show, it's an entire network of shows that cover different aspects of the Phins. Don't like me cool, there is a different show Monday, Wed, Thurs, and Saturday.

I just laugh at some of your comments though...truly funny.

To a degree your right. Why not use the opportunity to stand by your opinion of his play? Ted Ginn had a great game but when you hear Jim Mandich rip him on his show and say the Phins need to get rid of him and then after Sunday's game say: "Nothing sweeter than proving your detractor's wrong" is amusing and hypocritical. My favorite headline was: Ginns Miraculous Redemption is a Hollywood Movie".

Yeah those are so based in reality. The preview of the show was designed to get the juices flowing to spark a solid debate on the subject. I truly wanted to hear why all of a sudden someone would think that Ginn has turned any corner...and I got it. What I didn't get was someone proving it. I got a lot of jabs thrown at me here though...LOL. Why wouldn't I play on that? It's called good advertising...ESPN does it daily.

I'm not a shock show and in reality very rarely call anyone out. But saying that Ginn is back all of a sudden or the fact that he is a "Great" KR is absurd...especially considering that to open 3 seasons in a row as the KR and get pulled because he couldn't do it makes me laugh how one game changed it all.

Spam? I actually come here to post as a favor to some of the readers here who want to know it's on. Do you know the mod's to this site? The owner? I do...they are actually friends of mine and will most definitely vouch for me not being a "spammer". How do I know? Because before I ever posted one comment about the show...I asked for their permission.

And furthermore...just as a final point of interest...maybe you should ask Matt Kent the owner about Finsradio. He was one of our hosts until his job took him off the air.

Feel free to blast me all you want, but don't hate something you know nothing about.

Don't sweat it, it was a good show. You advertised it here with a thread title that got people huffy and, as happens quite often over here, they overreacted imo.

I think that the bottom line is that Ginn has gotten bashed so badly, and I've done my share, that he seems to deserve a "good job, Teddy" at least for one week. Dude deserves a break. But facts are facts- zero catches, zero yards last week. Punt returns- thank you no. Kickoff returns- I disagree with you. Despite his previous KO escapades including running for the sidelines/for his life on occassion, the dude can break one off. Maybe the answer is him making a trade off- coaching staff says, "Teddy, we're going to limit your WR playing time so you don't have to worry about having your antelope-like limbs ripped off. And no punt returns. But the kickoff returns, they're yours. So grab you balls and put it into high gear, make it happen."

So there you have it: Ted Ginn and Tony Sparano come to terms, finally, with who Ted Ginn is: kickoff returner, not a punt returner, and #3 WR deep threat. And throw in some reverses for good measure. That's his role, he has two years to go. We're tied to him salary cap-wise, so get used to it. So we can hopefully bury the notion if him ever being a true #1, look for Bryant and Benn in the draft, and hope that Teddy produces in his new, realistic role.

not if its an uncapped year next year. which its looking like.

Then instead of saying that you are going to "dump" on Ginn say that you are going to discuss why you don't think the kick returns really mean much in terms of him as a receiver.
